It's almost halloween so here's a one shot

sorry I haven't posted in so long

Jack gave himself one last once over in the mirror and fiddled with his hair. The red streak was a recent addition and he was still slightly self-conscious about it. Drunk Rian said he'd make out with Jack, though, so he guessed it was a compliment. He and Cass laughed it off as Rian downed another whiskey.

The red in his hair clashed with the green of his suit, so he made himself promise to keep the bowler hat on unless he wanted to look like evil, skinny Santa. He adjusted his purple tie and fixed the jacket, sticking a peeling purple question mark back down before putting on his eye mask.

His riddler costume was impeccable. There was no way he would lose this year. He practiced his menacing grin once more, grabbed the curved cane from by the door before picking up his phone and car keys, depositing them in his pocket and heading out.

The ride to Alex's place was relatively short but he still had enough time to think. He had exhausted every goodwill and thrift store in Baltimore for this costume, and he knew he had this in the bag.

Every year, at what Alex forced him to call the 'Best Halloween Party Ever', one guy, who Jack only knew by the first name, ended up beating Jack in the costume contest. When Jack came as an impeccable Luke Skywalker, Zack came as Han and won.

He had to admit, it was a fantastic costume, but they always seemed to correlate for some odd reason, Jack thought.

When he came as Captain America, Zack showed up with a working metal arm and glare as Bucky Barnes. When Jack was Batman, Zack came in a Superman suit. (Which Jack would never admit to that he had jerked off in the bathroom later to the memory of him. That boy had muscles on muscles.)

A light went off, and Jack was both relieved and pissed.

Alex sure was a little fucker.

Jack walked into Alex's mainly empty apartment, slamming the door and walking straight into the kitchen where Alex was gaping at him.

"Why are you so fuck..." Alex started, but Jack had pushed him up against the counter already.

"You've been telling that Zack guy to wear a costume every year that could be shipped with me, haven't you?" Jack seethed, tightening his grip on the collar.

The look of confusion on Alex's face was replaced with a smirk and if they weren't friends, Jack would have punched him then and there.

"Took you long enough." Alex said, shoving Jack off and going back to setting up snacks.

Jack swore silently at how easily he was pushed away. If he started working out now, maybe he could come as Batman again  next year. And actually fit into the costume this time.

"Who's fucking shipped with the riddler?" Jack questioned, instinctively helping get out some whiskey from the cabinets.

"No one, really. I took more of a Gotham approach. I don't even know if this counts as a ship either though. But I know you have a crush on Ben Mckenzie." Alex answered, a devilish smirk on his face.

Jack's face grew red and he whipped around so he didn't have to face Alex. If this boy was coming as Jim Gordon...

Maybe Jack would finally man up and make a move.

The party was in full swing when Zack had finally gotten there. Jack was taking a photo of Rian and Cass being cute when Alex strolled over.

Jack glanced over quickly and took a double take, causing the cute boy to laugh and look down.

He had on a black leather jacket with a black t-shirt underneath. A holster was wrapped tight around his waist, fitting snugly on top of the jeans. His hair was slicked back slightly in a way that proved both efficient and as if it took only a few moments.

Jack could feels his cheeks flush, and cursed himself mentally. Now he'd look like evil Santa for sure.

A brief pause and a small kick from Cass sent Jack back into reality. He shoved his hand out clumsily, just glad it wasn't the hand with the cane.

"I'm Jack Barakat." Jack introduced, feeling awkward as the other man took hold of his hand.

"Zack Merrick. It's so nice to finally meet you." Zack replied, his eyes finding Jack's. Jack could of stared at them for hours before remembering the guy.

"Yeah. You beat me in the costume contest every year, it probably is nice." Jack remarked, causing the other boy to let out an embarrassed giggle.

For a man as jacked as Zack, the muscled man blushed a lot. It was cute though, Jack didn't mind.

"Do you want to get a drink or something?" Jack broke the silence again.

Zack nodded eagerly, his hand reaching out once more for Jack's. They connected and Zack blushed again, looking down slightly as Jack pulled him towards the bar.

"And the winner of the costume contest is... Jack Barakat!" Alex announced, a small frown on his face, as his friend would finally get leverage.

Alex was expecting Jack to race up to the front of the room, his eyes wide and voice taunting Zack, but the room remained quiet.

Everyone looked around, trying to find where the riddler could be, but they came up short.

"Maybe he got sick and went home early?" Rian proposes from behind Alex at the front of the room.

"That's so unlike Jack. Well, I'll get him his trophy the next time I see him. Party on, everyone!"

Jack's hands fumbled with the keys to his home, Zack's lips hot and heavy on his neck. The multi-piece suit had become unbearably hot in the past ten minutes, no doubt thanks to Zack's clinging.

He got into the apartment, closing the door behind him. The two men began shucking off clothes as quickly as possible, desperate to be closer together.

Zack remained in only his jeans, Jack ending up in the suit pants. Zack smirked as Jack tried his best to remove the suit pieces.

Zack picked up the tie from the floor and untying it fully, sliding it around Jack's neck to pull him closer gently.

He tossed it back to the floor and connected his lips with Jack's, feverishly and needing.

The two made it to the bedroom eventually, Jack flat on his back on the bed, his elbows propping him up.

Zack sat on Jack's lap, moving around slowly dragging his hands down Jack's chest. The two made out for much longer, before deciding only to go that far.

Zack and Jack both pulled off their pants, remaining in just underwear. The two tucked into bed, Jack maneuvering his way under Zack's arm before falling asleep.

The next day Alex came by to drop of the trophy. He knocked on the door and waited for a moment before it swung open.

Zack stood in front of him in just boxers, his curls suffering from bed head, a large smirk in his face.

Alex scoffed and shoved the trophy in his hands.

"That's for Jack. Took you two oblivious fools long enough."

Sorry this is awful I just wanted to get something out.
