chapter 20

Bailey

I tucked Skylar into bed and walked back downstairs and sat on the couch with Gage. "how are you doing little brother?" "I'm okay just dad never wanted me to tell Sky about his death to much, said he couldn't handle it." he paused and looked at me with tears brewing in his eyes and i brought him into a hug. 

He kept talking through all of the tears "After we got to the house dad took skylar into a bed room and tucked him in and told him goodnight for the last time. he came out and sat me down on the couch he told me that he was going to die by morning he told me that i needed to protect Sky with my life and I needed to find you. He then told me he loved me and to get into bed with Skylar and get some rest and in the morning just get on the road. He gave me some advise and he told me where he thought you might be, we kept looking for you and after a while we found that man named Morgan and we stayed with him since he was looking for his friend Rick. We saw two people in trouble and Morgan likes to help anybody he can so we stopped and helped. When we got out of the place with all the walkers we finally stooped to take a breath and Daryl asked about why we saved them I soon just tuned it out then Daryl said he new Rick Grimes." he stopped and took a drink of water that was on the table before us.

"I started to listen again and started to worry about being alone again, Morgan looked at us and gave us the pity eyes. He then said Gage, Skylar and then Daryl began and he asked us if we have had a sister and Sky jumped forward and started to tell him about you he then told us he knew you and you were back with Rick and some others. And now were here." he said looking up at me smiling "I'm glad he found us and i'm glad we found you." 

"I am so glad Dar found you I'm glad you kept looking for me and im sorry you had to go through dad, through all of that." i said hugging him tightly "I will never leave you again and i will protect you with my life. Okay?" i said and asked him.

"Okay." he said into my chest.

"Lets get you to bed hun." i said patting his back "yeah alright." he said wiping his eyes "Do you think I could sleep with Sky tonight? It's just I have slept in the same bed as him for a while now and i just want to make sure. I don't know." 

"of course you can." i said smiling at him. I walked him upstairs and showed him to the bedroom with Skylar and then tucked him in and kissed them both on the forehead. "Goodnight you too I love you both so much." i said as i left the room.
