She was ready for her treatment.
The man--the one she trusted with her life, though she didn't remember why--had come to pick her up from the party. Man what a blast that was! Even without getting wasted, it had been enjoyable. She had met a guy, and a girl, danced with people, talked with some--very interesting--people, and finally got to surf! The waves weren't crazy, but they certainly weren't tame either. Overall, it was a pretty rad party. She had chatted with the guy--everything was okay when he was there--about everything, and he seemed happy for her. But when she asked about going back to the beach after her treatment, he looked a little sad, even when he said he would wait for her where they parked. Why was he sad?
Well, she was ready for her treatment now so she should focus on that. She couldn't resist telling the sorta skinny guy standing near the machinery about the party. As she talked, she took off the sunglasses she had been wearing--she had been at the beach, after all--and folded them in her hand. He just smiled and gestured to the chair. It didn't look too comfortable, but she needed her treatment.
She laid back in the chair, and felt it tilt her backwards.
"I'm glad you had fun. Now, this may pinch."
Oh--
Oh no no no no no no no
Everything--
Everything she had ever experienced--ever been through--everything
It was all--
It was all going away
Fading--
Fading away--
Away from her
She--
She couldn't
She didn't--
She didn't want to go
She--
She tried to be her best.
"Hello, Echo. How are you feeling?" Topher asked, smiling as Echo rose with the chair.
"Did I fall asleep?" She asked.
He smiled. "For a little while."
"Shall I go now?"
"If you'd like."
Echo gave him a small smile and left the chair, stepping over a pair of sunglasses on the floor.
She was hungry.

A/N: This is a very short fanfic based off of the show Dollhouse. I just got a bit of inspiration rewatching the show and this is supposed to sorta show a different side to the Wipes of the Actives.
'Cause I was just thinking, ya know, about how it must feel to have all of your memories and feelings just stripped away.
Welp, there ya go. My first Short Story posted here.
