Dear Robot Diary,
I've decided that Disaster Robot Diary is very wordy, so I'm back to Robot Diary. I hope that's cool with you. ANYWAYS, it's been a hot second since I've actually picked you up to write in you. I'm sorry about all of that, but like I've been kinda busy trying to suppress my erratic emotions this Freak Week.
Yesterdays musical malaise was crazy! I ALMOST CONFESSED MY LOVE FOR CRUSH! I need to be a lot more careful with my general state of being if I'm going to survive. I think yesterday might had been one of the worst days of Freak Week so far. The last thing I can remember from yesterday was a figure whipping open the doors. I think that was the last thing I wrote about. Well, that figure was actually Mrs. Kode, our principal.
Nobody likes Mrs. Kode and she was not too happy about us being in the school during Freak Week. She got really mad and yelled at us all, even Mr. Kevin, about how we shouldn't be on school property and that we could get suspended. REALLY SUSPENDED?!?! I had never gotten in trouble like at all in school and now I was being threatened with suspension. That's like some serious stuff. She vowed to return every day and make our lives a living nightmare if we didn't get off school property, but there is no way we could leave.
Mrs. Kode's attitude quickly took a turn when today's Freak Week extravaganza began and she left. Farm animals began falling from the sky. Cows mooed all the way down from the clouds until they crashed into any and everything in sight. Animals like cows, goats, ducks, horses, really any animal that you could find on good ol' Old McDonald's farm.
Along with these lovely animals dropping out of the sky, everyone's feeling toward these animals came through. Marmie for one loved the ducks. I'm pretty sure they were her favorites while Banana took a liking to the horses.
While Marmie and Banana showed how much they loved these animals, Harry was scared of just about all of the animals. As they fell out of the sky, all we heard were a variety of high pitched shrieks coming from Harry. For a big jock, he sure did scream like a 6-year-old girl at the sight of a pig. Crush liked all the animals and went around petting all of them.
Now I like really like Crush, like in love like him. But even I knew that petting the animals was probably not the best idea. We didn't know anything about these animals and, as Banana always says "Better to be safe than sorry". While Marmie was playing with the ducks and Crush was petting every animal in sight, I heard Banana yell, "Don't you dare fluff that duck!" I turned around and saw Marmie about to fluff a duck! I'm not even quite sure what fluffing a duck exactly is, but Marmie was about to do it...I think. I mean that's what Banana said so like it must be true. She seemed pretty confident in her use of the phrase fluffing a duck.
Mr. Kevin was standing with a pig, welling up with tears. I think he thought the pig was his ex-wife or something. Yeah, alright, I know it's mean to even think for a second that he was referring to his ex-wife as a pig, but he was just standing there yelling, "You never loved me you filthy animal!" at the pig. I mean he could have very well been talking about the pig, but like I really don't think he expected any sort of love from the pig.
I for one am not a huge fan of farms. I tried to keep my distance from the animals. After seeing how much Crush liked the animals and didn't want him to think any less of me. Marmie kept calling out for me. "Lace, where are you? You're missing all of the fun with these animals!" After she would call out for me Harry replied with "What fun?!?!" usually followed by a shriek.
I could not let my real emotions show. I knew if I went over by everyone else, I would loose control. I could possibly say or do something I would regret in the long run. I observed from a distance, slowly creeping over in actions beyond my control. Then, Crush grabbed my hand and whisked me over toward the animals. HE TOOK MY HAND! Like Crush and I were holding hands. Granted it was only for like a solid 2 seconds, it still happened! Then he guided my hand toward a goat to pet it. HE TOUCHED ME AGAIN! Seriously!?! He touched my hand twice. If that's not love, then I don't know what is.
I don't really remember much of what happened after that because CRUSH TOUCHED MY HAND TWICE. But I do know, that we need to find a way to leave the school or like hide in the school, so Mrs. Kode doesn't know we are here. We are all really scared of her, like everyone else at our school. I can just picture her bursting in tomorrow with a smug look on her face, plotting and planning how to mess with us, as if Freak Week wasn't messing with us enough.
At least I somehow survived another day of Freak Week without making a complete fool of myself. But don't get me wrong that doesn't mean things have settled down.
Still super petrified and barely surviving.
