Ben arrived with Liz at half 3. Charlotte and the others had taken the children out for me so that Ben had a chance to get used to the place.
"Hey Ben." I said smiling
"Hello." He said
"Come in." I said stand aside.
"Thank you." Ben said
"You have children?" Ben said seeing all the pictures around the living room
"Yeah 4, Lilly she's 10, Casper he's 7, Jessie he's 4 and Grace she nearly 18 months." I said
"Cool." Ben said
"Yeah. There great." I said smiling
"Come this way I'll show you around." I said
"Okay." Ben said smiling
Michael and Ash brought Lilly and Casper home at 4:30.
"Ben I'd like you to meet my two oldest Lilly and Casper." I said smiling
"Hello." Lilly said
"Hey." Ben said
"Hello Ben." Casper said
"Hello." Ben said
"Why don't you guys go outside and play." I said smiling
"Okay." They said and they ran outside
"Thanks for this Rhianne." Liz said
"No problem. How long for?" I asked
"About 12 weeks ish." Liz said
"Okay. That covers me taking the children to Europe over October half term." I said
"It's okay he has a passport." Liz said
"Okay." I said
"What about school?" I asked
"I got him into your school and I brought all his school things with me." Liz said
"Okay great." I said
"Yeah." Liz said
Liz left just before Charlotte and Jodie brought grace and Jessie back Jacob was with them as well.
"There in the garden Jess." I said
"Okay." Jessie said and he ran outside
"Everything okay?" Charlotte asked
"Yeah everything is fine." I said smiling
Connors POV.
I really didn't want to leave Rhianne and all the children. With another one coming I really didn't want her to be alone and looking after 5 kids but Charlotte and Jodie were going to be around to help, this put my mind at rest.
"You okay Con?" James asked when we got on the plane to head to Australia.
"Yeah fine." I said
"Come on mate." James said
"Yeah coming." I said
We boarded the plane.
The flight was horrible. I got no sleep and felt awful when we landed in Brisbane.
"Think I'm coming down with something." I said
"Don't you love kids." James said
"Yeah." I said smiling
James laughed.
We got to the hotel and I managed to get 6 hours sleep before I had to be and go to sound check.
"Feel better?" Brad asked
"Yeah." I said
"Good to hear mate." Brad said
"You heard from Rhianne?" James asked
"Yeah she called just as I was arriving here. Ben is settling okay, he's getting on well with all the children." I said smiling
"That's good to hear." Trist said
"Yeah just wish I was there to help out." I said
"Why don't you go home after the show in Perth and spend some time at home." James said
"And have what 6 days at home." I said putting my guitar over my shoulder
"Better than nothing." Brad said
I didn't say anything.
"Come on Connor we all know it's where you want to be." Trist said
"Can we stop and get on with sound check please." I said
"Okay." The others said
We got through sound check without to much going wrong.
"I'm going to get some sleep." I said
"Good idea." James said
I left for the dressing room and for some sleep.
On stage
"Do you think he's okay?" James said
"He'll be okay." Brad said
"I'm not sure you know." Trist said
"He will be okay guys we just have help him through this." James said
"I don't understand if he didn't want to leave Rhianne then why did he agree to come on tour?" Brad said
"Because even though he wants to be with Rhianne he still want to come on tour with us. You know what he's like." James said
"Yeah." The others said
"We just have to get him through tour. I'm sure he'll be okay." James said
"I hope so or its going to make tour horrible." Trist said
"Tristan. Connor has never been on tour without Rhianne around. She's normally here all the tour, her not being here must be really hard for him." James said
I slept until I needed to get up for the show.
"You okay Con?" James asked
"Yeah im fine." I said smiling
"Good come on then mate." James said
I went and did my best that night but I was so tired. I managed to get through the show I don't know how and I crashed in bed at the hotel.
Next morning I got up and felt so much better. Ready to take on the day. Positive to not having our other halves round was that we got to share a room. Me and James were sharing a room it had been so long since I had shared a room with another band member. James was up he'd been out for his run. I was in the shower when he got back.
"Morning Con." He said coming into the bathroom to brush his teeth
"Morning mate." I said
"Sleep well?" James asked
"Yeah not bad." I said
"Good to here." James said he went out of the bathroom 5 minutes later when he'd finished doing his teeth.
I got out of the shower and James got in.
When the pair of us were ready and sorted we went down for breakfast. Brad and Sid were already down stairs waiting for us.
"Morning guys." Brad said
"Morning." I said
"Morning. Sleep well?" James said
"Yes thanks." Brad said smiling at Sid.
"Good to hear." I said sitting down.
"What about you guys?" Sid asked
"Yeah not bad." James said
"Feels strange." I said
"What feels strange?" James asked
"Sleeping next to you. It's been so long." I said
"Yeah it did feel a bit weird." James said
"Oh well." I said smiling
