The Beginning Of The End

Anastasia's POV:

   Our eyes met once again. Those blue eyes as deep as the ocean. Although I am quite frightened with his presence, I wont show him. My chin is held high, my eyes are straight on his, daring him, and my body is tense and stiff.
    I don't remember much of my past, but I do remember one thing: “He killed my family and he's coming after my life too”.
    My name is Anastasia Whiteheart, daughter of Russia's most recognized scientist, Nicholas White heart, and the first project of DNA mutation: “Alpha 326”
    My life changed the day he killed her. This man who calls himself my father, killed my mother and dragged me away from my brother. I was forced to grow in this infernal laboratory, where they have taken from me my humanity.
     Life in this place is always the same. Breakfast at 6:00 a.m., blood tests 30 minutes after eating, read in my break to keep my mind from breaking and, at last, go to sleep because the tests have left me too tired. That is my routine since I got here 14 years ago.
   I have no reason to fear after so many years living like this. Yet, here I am, staring at this man knowing what will happen next. I am completely conscious of my similarities with my mother; I remember her clearly. This psychopath says that he can see this as if he were experimenting with my mom.

— My dear daughter — he said dryly, as always — take off the gloves, the tests are about to begin.
