Ross's POV
Today was one of the happiest days of my life, the day my sweet daughter Lyla was born. It all happened so suddenly, yet now all I could do was smile. It happened like this...

Flashback
It was a normal day at work, I'd just got into the office being the first of the hat films family to arrive. I unlocked our office and headed inside turning on my computer and logging on. While I waited for more faces to arrive I sat scrolling through social media on my phone. I smiled when I saw a news post labelled 'Magic Superheroes'. I knew that Tess wouldn't be in it, I mean she couldn't she was pregnant, but still it was cool to know that Smith and Storm were those people out there saving the city.

I was caught off guard when Tess came into the office, teleporting in front of me. "Ross, help I need storm" she said. "Why didn't you teleport to her?" I asked while I looked through my phone for Storm's phone number. "She's too far away for me to teleport in this state, Smith too, hurry please" she replied as she fell onto our sofa in agony as her energy began to slowly drain away, her face going pale and her amethyst gem jewellery began to fade also losing its colour partially. I instantly pressed Storms number and was filled with relief when she picked up on the first ring. "Hey Ross what-" "Storm get to the office now it's an emergency. It's Tess!" I said. Before anything else could happen the call had ended and Storm was already sat with Tess, Smith came in a short while after.

"What's happening to her?" I asked Storm, seeing as Tess was too weak to reply. "It's the baby, it's feeding off her energy. From now on it looks like she needs to be near me at all times. It's really eating up the magic because for once I'm not actually overloaded by my magic." She said. I nodded and went to sit by her, kissing her cheek as I hugged her. "Babe how you doing?" I asked softly. She looked to me and smiled slightly, her only way of showing she was feeling better. "Storm we need to talk via telepathy" Smith said out of nowhere. She nodded and the room went silent as they had their own private conversation.

When they had finished they looked to me and then to each other. "Ross the baby is coming soon, we don't know how soon, but it's soon. You see it normally heightens it's magic intake before its born although how long before we don't know. So just be wary of that okay?" Storm said trying not to freak me out. Too late. "What! Soon! It's only been six months" I questioned in shock. Smith came over to me and put a hand on my shoulder. "Mate calm down, plus it's a magical pregnancy you didn't expect it to be the same as a humans did you?" He said trying to reassure me. Hearing that did settle the though in my brain partially, but the feeling that it would be soon was like excitement overwhelming me to the point where it made me anxious and nervous.

"Can you not even predict How long till its born?" I asked again hoping for some more answers. "No, but I can tell you it's gender" Storm said looking to me and Tess for a answer. Tess shrugged her shoulders, my guess was to say I don't mind and so I said yes. "You're having a baby girl, congrats guys" Storm said. "I'll be an uncle" Smith cheered slightly, making me laugh. Storm laughed too a smile spread on her face. Storm was also going to be the auntie of our child. Our family was finally growing.

After our little episode Storm and Tess fell asleep together on the sofa, Storm's arm around Tess protectively like a big sister would. Trott had arrived after they'd fallen asleep and us lads though it was a cute sight to see. Trott was disappointed that he hadn't really talked to Storm this morning so he quickly snapped a picture of the sisters and posted it on Twitter. It was fun to watch the comments on it, people admiring how good sisters they were. "Honestly Smith where'd you find these two?" Trott joked. He laughed, "I found them at the pub, and you guys carried them home" He replied. It felt weird to think that, once we were all strangers, non-believers of magic and now look at us. We were due to have a magically addition to our small family.

-Time Skip-

It was the end of the day, and Storm had given Tess a large Amber crystal which her power would channel through, that way they could stay apart, but still share their energy. Storm said she was going to fill some Amethyst crystals with nature magic for Tess and was due to drop them off later on. "So Wolfie what we doing tonight?" Tess asked as we walked through the front door. We both greeted Archie and Oscar before we went to the kitchen for a drink each. "I don't know we could watch some films maybe?" I asked. "Sounds great! Oh wait Storms here!" Tess chirped before her sister could ring the doorbell. I ran to the door, Archie and Oscar in pursuit and Storm was stood there holding bright purple gems. "Here, give these to Tess. And hey Archie you better have been good. You too Oscar, we'll go play then" she said stroking the dogs.

She was about to leave when a scream came from the kitchen, Tess had screamed. Storm pushed in past me and went straight to Tess. I followed after her and looked to Storm for information. "It's the baby, it's coming! We gotta get her to the park, the home tree should provide a suitable place for her, then after we'll take her to the hideout. Hospitals cant help with magical births I'm afraid." Storm said. I nodded and took her hand and she teleported us all there. Smith soon arrived with Trott and the pair waited outside while Tess gave birth. When it was all over a blood curdling cry came from our baby daughter. Storm cleaned her and helped her with her magic before passing her to Tess. I was a father. I kissed Tess before kissing our daughter. "What shall we call her?" I asked. "Lyla. Lyla Hornby" Tess said. I smiled. "That's perfect, she's perfect." I replied smiling. Smith and Trott came in and we all admired little Lyla.

Present
And that got us to where we were now. Happiness was contagious for us in the moment and we still smile now as we sit and the hideout admiring her. Lyla was perfect and my family was perfect, I couldn't live without them.

Guys this is the last chapter before I write the epilogue. I can't believe it! Also I hope you enjoyed Ross's POV for this. Thanks for all the reads and votes :D
