The Force Games(Book 1) {Completed}

Chapter 1

I wake up. The warm near me had gone. Probably Leia had a nightmare and went to Bubmber Bee, for short, BB-8, our robot and best friend. Today is the Reaping for The Force Games. It's her first year for her. She is scared. I know how it feels. For me is the fifth. If I would be chose, I don't know how she'll survive. After our parents died, I had to protect her, to keep her alive. I don't care about me. I care about her. I stand up and go to our living room. BB-8 is in her arms and she is on the floor. I need to wake her up, but she looks like an angel. I slowly approach her.

"Leia, wake up."

"Mhmhm"

"Leia."

"Ok."

BB-8 goes to the kichen and Leia stands up.

"Rey, I'm afraid. What if they'll choose my name?"

"There are a lot of other names, Leia. I'm sure that it won't be yours."

Hope so.

I hear some blaster noises. Finn...

"I need to go."

"Where?"

"Somewhere. Take a shower and dress up. I'll be here as fast as I can."

I run into the desert. On Jakku it is forbidden to go into the desert and scavange, but this was the only way to keep Leia alive: with the food from Unkar Plutt. I reach the ship where I hide my scavanging things: a fighting stick, glasses for desert and a scarf to cover my face.

"Hey, Ran."

He is Finn. My friend. He calls me Ran because first time when we met he didn't understood Rey, he understood Ran.

"Hey, Finn."

"How are you?"

"Hungry, how would I be? And also scared for Leia."

"Ran, last night I figured out how to survive. All of us: you, me, Leia and my family. We can run into the desert and survive with the food of Unkar Plutt."

"We won't make five miles."

"Who knows?"

The next sound I hear is a ship.

"Under the the Imperial ship."

After it is over I turn to him.

"I should go. They are here and Leia is worried."

"Me too. See you there."

I run home. Leia has my old school uniform. It is still to big for her.

"Hey, Rey."

"Hey, little duckie. Keep yout tale under the skirt."

I say this as I put her shirt under the skirt.

"Get ready. They are here."

Leia said as I run to my wardrobe. I found a dress that was my mother's. I take a shower and put it on. I put Leia's hair into 2 buns and I put mine into 3.

"Will it be ok, Rey?"

"I hope so."

I take her hand and go to the city centre.

We enter the square. Leia goes to the children near her age and I go to my age group. I see Finn looking at me. I make him a sign and he looks back to the scene. Padmé Amidala, Coruscant's representer, walks to the scene along with Anakin Skywalker, Jakku's winner of The Force Games, and Jakku's mayor.

"Welcome, welcome to the 74'th edition of The Force Games! May the odds be forever in your favour! The ladies first!"

And with this she walks to the bowl where my name is for 15 times, and Leia's once. She takes a ticket and walks back to the micro.

"And the female tribute of this year is... Leia Organa Kenobi!"

I freeze. It couldn't be real. I see Leia moving to the scene. I run to her. The Jedis push me back.

"I voluntier!"

I push them away.

"I voluntier as tribute!"

Leia turns to me. Her eyes are full of tears. I hug her.

"It will be ok."

Finn comes and takes her.

"Rey! Nooooo!"

The Jedis push me to the scene. Padmé takes me to the micro.

"What is your name?"

I wisper it.

"Rey Organa Kenobi."

"I'm sure that she was your sister."

"Yes."

She goes to the boys bowl.

"And the boys."

She takes one ticket.

"Finn Skiwalker."

No. Not Finn! Why?!?!? His family! Her mother is suffering and his brothers are hungry! Someone needs to voluntier! He walks to the scene looking at my scared expresion.

"Any voluntiers?"

No one.

"So here are our tributes of Jakku for the anual Force Games, Rey Organa Kenobi and Finn Skywalker!"

We shake hands and the Jedis push me to a room where I will see my sister for the last time.
