It all started when I was a twelve year old. The Storms had started when I was just a small child. My father worked very hard to protect us. So hard, that he went insane. I was presented with a difficult choice. Become a man and put my father out of his misery to protect my family or watch as my fathers health deteriorated and he came closer and closer to killing us. So when I was twelve I killed my father. You don't understand and will never understand what that is like. The only people who do are my brothers Cole and Conscious and that is only because they helped me do it so we could protect our mother. I was always a little bit closer to Cole but that was just because we were twins. Now don't go make assumptions that we are identical. We looked very different. He had black hair, I had ginger hair. He had glasses, I didn't. But we were also very similar. We both loved to read. Anything we could we could latch onto and read we would. Before my father went insane he used to take me and my brothers with him on scouting missions. We would help him salvage partisans if we saw any books we would grab them. Our favorite types of books were all about superheroes. We played heroes and loved to imagine a life as a hero. And one day that dream became a reality.
12 years later
"What the hell man." "Can you believe this!" "Holy crap dude." Those are the sounds of pure joy from three brothers soaring over the top of the city. We had gained our powers about 6 years back. We had been 18 at the time. And it had been insane. It was like a high that never ended. We had the time of our lives. And we are still living the good life. We hadn't necessarily been like the heroes from our books but we did what we had to. We figured it was ok to do some of the things we did because we were in difficult positions. But one day we decided to make a change for the better. And the sad part is that it took such a tragedy to cause that change. That horrible tragedy was the murder of our mother. So after she was murdered we realized instead of being unlike the heroes from our books we needed to strive to be exactly like them.
