Television has brought back murder into the home . . . where it belongs.

Yes, I know, I know. I have, like, all these other poem collections tapping their impatient little footsies for me to continue adding to their bulk. I know, and I would like to apologize to all the poem collections that I haven't finished yet. I will finish all the poem collections in time, but right now, let's just sit back and dwell on the darker subject of this poetry collection.
I originally had this idea for a dark and horrific poetry collection when I wrote two particularly horrifying poems for my 99 Poem Challenge, "The Bunny Man," which is a murder ballad, and "Lizzie Borden Took an Axe," which is inspired by the work of Edgar Allan Poe and the historical Lizzie Borden murder case. After writing those pieces, I wanted to write an evil poetry collection worthy of their horrific brutality. By writing this collection of ghastly verses, I hope to exorcise my demons, as well. God knows we all have them. ( O_O )
