LISTEN to me!

You all remember that day when I said "being apart of something special makes you special right?" That was one of the things I use to say, also that gold stars are my thing. My daughter Laura is 2 now. She is the cutest little girl ever... I love her with all my heart. I haven't seen Shelby for 2 or 3 years. She never came to Laura's birthday parties, she never even gave me a call. I'm getting worried. Jessie and I are going back to Ohio with Laura to see what is going on.
When we got there I told Jessie to stay in the car with Laura because who knows what is happening in the house. I knocked. No one answered. I wiggled the door knob and realized the door was open. I walked into the house and saw glasses of wine everywhere. I ran upstairs and saw Shelby on her bed . She was shivering.
"Mom?" I questioned as I walked towards her.
"Rachel get out of here"Shelby said as she turned around to face me.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" I cried as Shelby rolled her eyes.
"Nothing" Shelby said as she sat up.
"Mom, you're drunk. The house is a mess. It smells horrible in here!"
I hear someone walk into the house. "Shelby?"
It sounded like mr.shue.
I ran to the door where he was and i looked at him "Mr. shue, what are you doing here?" I questioned as he looked down.
"I need to apologize to her" will said as I looked at him angrily.
"Why did you have to leave her like that... She's hurting herself now" I cried as mr. Shue looked at me confused.
I hear Shelby cough loudly. "Where is she?" He asked as he looked around. "I need to see her"he cried. I took him to her.
Shelby looked at him and froze. "Get away from me you coward!" She cried as mr. Shue flexed his jaw. "I hate you!"
"Shelby, I'm sorry I left you I just--"
"I know why you left me... Because I can't have anymore kids right, you want a child. And I'm just not enough for you because I can't give you what you want" Shelby yelled.
"I don't want a child, and if I did, I wouldn't leave you Shelby"
Mr. Shue walked closer to Shelby and put his hand softly on her cheek. "Shelby  I left because I was afraid... And I didn't know if what I was doing was right"
"Lies!" Shelby said as she pushed him back. I starred at them, I said no words.
"Shelby LISTEN to me!!" He yelled as she looked down. mr.Shue turned red like fire and his veins popped out from his neck. Shelby got up from her bed and walked out the room and walked to the living room.
"Shelby" he said softly as he grabbed her arm. Shelby looked at him and her eyes began to flood with tears. She fell to the ground and curled up with her arms around her knees .
Mr.Shue bent down and brought her chin up. Shelby looked into his eyes. It was silent, all you can hear is the heavy breathing. Mr. Shue kissed Shelby softly on the lips and said" I love you Shelby " Shelby froze. She got up from the floor, shook her head no, and ran back to her room.
