"Hey Aspen! We've got a few ideas that might be good," said an enthusiastic Jessamine. I looked onto the paper and saw some good ideas, but the one that I thought would be the best was the one about synthetic people who were secretly trying to take over the human race. I know that this is really cliché, but I think we can elaborate the idea.
"I like the idea of synthetics taking over the world," I said to the group.
"Do you think we can make it a little more unique?" asked Damian.
"Definitely. I was going to suggest that myself," I said with a slight giggle.
"Great! So who has a good idea?" Ivory asked.
"What if we made one of the synthetics be in love with one of the humans?" asked Jessamine.
"Good idea Jess. I think it would be best if the story was from the point of view of the synths," I said. Everyone agreed and we began to write the exposition of the story line and developed our main characters. Caspian and Jessamine began to sketch out the different settings for the film. Damian and ivory began to sketch outlines for some of the main characters. Our movie was on the right track.

My friends and I were waiting in line to get dinner.
"So what film did you guys create?" Damian asked Tyrus.
"An underground colony of people who live like ants," Tyrus replied.
"That's pretty neat," said Ivory.
"Yeah," said Nadia. "So what about you guys?"
"Why don't you tell them, Aspen?" asked Jessamine.
All I could think about was Tyrus' group's film.
"Aspen? Are you okay?" Caspian asked in a concerned tone. I snapped out of thought.
"What? Oh...umm...yeah. I'm fine," I said quickly.
"Well are you going to tell us or not? Nadia asked snootily.
"It's about synthetics taking over-"
"The human race. So mainstream," Nadia whipped, cutting me off.
"We're elaborating on it," said Damian, trying to keep a positive tone.
"Whatever, our idea is better anyways," Nadia said.
"You just wait."

For dinner, we were seated with our film groups, each at a small circular table. I wasn't really much for conversation, as I couldn't stop thinking about what Tyrus described his group's film as.
"We just can't let them get to us," said Jessamine.
"Why don't we just tell them to leave us be?" asked Caspian.
"Because we would appear weak," said Damian.
Ivory joined in, "Well, I don't think that's the only reason."
"Maybe we should show them who the real boss is. We surely won't look weak that way," Damian said.
"... Or maybe not," Jessamine said grabbing Damian's fists and lowering them.
