"Run?" I say looking at the horde of walkers coming at us.

"Run." He agrees. We turn and take off down the street towards our car. In the distance I could here an alarm going off. Looking ahead I could see that our car had at least four walkers crowding it. Pulling out my knife I drive the blade through the left eye of the walker blocking the front passenger door. Yanking the door open, I turn and jab my elbow into the other walker trying to take a bite out of my arm. I slam my boot down on his head and slide into the car. I slam the door closed as Haydn drives, swerving to avoid a small child going for the back door of the car.

"Just another day in paradise, eh?" He says looking over at me laughing.

"Hell yeah it is." I say laughing along. Smiling I look out the window at the city we just left behind. "Its defiantly not like it used to be, huh?" I ask turning and looking at him. Without looking from the road he grabs my hand and kisses it.

"You are doing much better." He states, looking for the break in the wheat that leads us to our camp. Driving down the old deserted back road, with few walkers littering it. Dark clouds are rolling in from the west, and we can here thunder rumbling in the distance.

"Looks like its going to rain. You know what that means." He says staring up at the clouds that loom in the distance. Whenever it rains we have to lock ourselves in the cars. It pours and pours for days on end and with the fog, we can never see  foot in front of our faces. We learned the hard way. We lost three one was bit from a walker we never saw coming and two were walking to a car when a mud slide hit and buried them and half our supplies.

" Time to hole up in the cars, again." I say groaning and rolling my head over to look out the window. We pull up in front of the large eighteen-wheeler, pulling off my seat belt I push the door open only to be mauled by my daughter. Pulling away from my legs she runs to the left side and attacks Haydn. Shaking my head I walk to the back and pull out the food, ammo, and two guns we collected. I set the guns in the box labelled 'weapons' along with the ammo. I bring the bag full of food to the tent containing our food and cooking and cleaning necessities.

"Mommy, mommy, mommy" Kaitlyn says running over with her hands up, signaling she wants to be picked up. Picking her up I place her on my hip and walk over to the eighteen-wheeler to Ricardo, the second in command. " Its going to rain" I say glancing to the west at the clouds. "Should we pack up? Put everyone in the truck and lock everything else up?" I ask glancing around at our makeshift camp.

"Yeah, go ahead. I think we should move down the mountain or at least near the water. Haydn doesn't agree though." He says rolling his eyes with a smile.

"Okay I will go tell them to pack and we will get a move on from camp." I say walking of still holding Kaitlyn. We spent the next twenty minutes taking down tents and packing food into the truck and putting the families and there stuff who didn't bring cars with them. I was putting a bag of Kaitlyns toys in the back when the rain started. " Kaitlyn, come here please." I yell, watching everyone get in their cars and others in the truck. "Kaitlyn!" I yell a little louder. Samantha one of the other moms comes running up to me.

"Kinsley, I cant find Timothy or any of the kids." she says. Somewhere at the back of the camp someone screams and the kids come running towards us with five walkers on their tails. Everything in the next five minutes happens so fast. Everyone gets guns, two of the kids were grabbed and almost bit, and the five walkers were shot. I look up to see Timothy run to Sam and The twins Annie and Angel run to their mother. " Mommy." Kaitlyn yells coming out from behind a tree and running towards me. "Shhhhh, it's okay. I've got you. You're okay." I say hugging her to my chest. Haydn comes running over and is telling me everything is okay.
