Chapter 11:
Cole's POV:
I got home last night after a hard day of work. My uncle still shows me the ropes of the company but I'm mostly taking over now. At the moment we're trying to expand our company.
Anyways I came home to find my Lily with that heartless bastard Nick. I don't care if their in class together or if he apologized. He left her because he found out her parents BEAT HER! He can't just come back and say sorry for that. If I wasn't here, Lily would probably be dead! She's too forgiving sometimes, I know she wants to be friends with him again and I can't stop her but I will be keeping an eye on Nick.
Damn I sound like I'm her father. Well not how her actual father was.
"Beep!" "Beep!" "Beep!"
"Ugh..." I groan and roll over to turn the alarm off.
I rub my face and sigh, guess its time to work. At least I get the weekend off.
I sit up and stretch, I crack my back and neck as I do every morning. It's like my morning ritual.
I glance down next to me and smile and how sweet Lily looks while sleeping. I lean down and kiss her forehead then I get up and walk to the bathroom to take a shower.
I close the door and turn on the shower. I adjust the water temperature then strip out of my boxers and night shirt. I get in and sigh as the warm water hits my skin.
I lean my head back on the shower wall and sigh, no matter how much I try to get him out of my head I can't.
Nick is up to something, Lily may have believed that load of bullshit about his sick mother but I'm not fooled. He can't just show up all the sudden and give a sob story about how his life has been hard too, and that he just wants to be her friend again. I don't think so!
I shake my head, this is going to keep bugging me. Maybe I should tell him to back off, or I can pay him to go away. No I can't do that to Lily, even though he's bad news she's happy he's here. I won't do anything but I will be keeping an eye on him, and if I can help it I will make sure their not alone together to much. I trust Lily, I just don't trust Nick.
I finish washing then walk back into the bedroom and put my suit on quietly. That's a thing I hate about running a company or in business, I have to wear a suit ugh!
I slip out of the room and walk downstairs, I grab my briefcase then I'm out the door.
I walk inside of my company building and take the elevator to the fifteenth floor where my office is.
"Good morning Mr. Andrews," the secretary greets me smiling.
I smile back,"Good morning Ms.Tanner."
I continue to walk to my office and sigh when I finally get inside. I set my briefcase on my desk then plop down in my seat. I didn't get much sleep last night.
My assistant enters my office,"Morning Mr.Andrews, coffee?"
I nod and the perky little red head skips away. Her name is Tanya, she's really nice and works good. The only thing I'm worried about is her and another employes relationship. Relationships between coworkers is usually frowned upon but I haven't said anything yet, I just hope that it doesn't effect her work.
I log onto my computer and start the days work.
Some employes don't think I'm ready to be running a billion dollar company at the age of 20 but I've learned business from both my father and uncle at a very early age, and all through highschool I took college business classes. I know what I'm doing.
