All I ever wanted was for him to recognize me. Or even talk to me. Everett Johnson was so cute! "Aiko!" Julie said, "Stop daydreaming! You haven't ate anything for lunch."

"Jeez, Julie. I'm not even hungry." I said.

"No, you are just staring at Everett and thinking about him like you do every day. I seriously think he's going to start noticing you."

"Julz, you say that everyday. He never will notice me. He's a football player and I'm the smart girl." I said sadly.

"Have a litle hope, Aiko. He may notice you someday."

I went back to my salad, stabbing it with my fork. As I was stabbing, I looked up as Julie dropped her fork and looked behind me. I turned around and saw Everett looking down at me.

"Hi. Are you Aiko Huanto? Your brother, Aidan, is on the football team with me. I'm Everett Johnson." He smiled. I was gaping at his "adorableness" still in awe that he was talking to me.

"Yeah, I-I'm Aiko." I said cursing my suttering. He  was just that hot.

"Can I talk you for a minute? Like over there?" he asked and pointed to the corner of the lunchroom where there was nobody.

"Sure!" I said. Julie gave me a questioned face, and  I just shrugged my shoulders in return because I had absolutely no clue what this was for.

"Sorry about taking you away from your friend. I just needed to ask you something." he said. He kept looking down at his feet like he was embarassed about something. "Ummm, can you tutor me? I know that it is wierd for me to ask you, but you are the smartest person in school. I mean if you can't do it it's totally cool."

"Oh! Yeah it's totally fine! I think you're in my english and A.P. Spanish classes. For the rest, if you just give me your book I could probably teach you." I said. I tried not to sound too much like "oh my god I know like every single class you are in, you are freaking Everett Johnson for crying out loud!"

"Yeah that's right! How'd you know?" he asked.

"Umm, I like knowing everyone in my class?" It came out more like a question than I had hoped.

"Ok. So when do you want to start?"

"How about tonight? 7:00? YOu do know where my house is, right?"

"Yeah! Aidan's invited me over before. 7:00 sounds great."

"OK! I guess I'll see you then!"

"K. Bye."

"Bye Everett." I was probably blushing like crazy while I was walking back to the lunch table.

"What happened with you?" Julie asked with an evil smirk on her model-like face. She had literally every boy staring at her ALL THE TIME. Sometimes I just wish that was me. She had the perfect heart-shaped face, long, straight blonde hair, chocolate brown eyes, perfect height (5'7), and body shape. Because of my chinese-canadian heritige, I had an oval-shaped face, long dark brown hair, dark brown eyes (almost black!), not too tall (5'5), and an ok body. I wish I looked like Julie; she's absolutely beautiful, and I'm not.

"Oh, nothing." I said looking down to try and hide my still red face.

"Ok, fine. I just won't tell you what Aidan told me about Everett." My head flew up and I looked at Julie. She just laughed at me.

"I knew you would do that! You are so madly in love." She said.

"Am not!" I said getting redder by the second.

"You know you are! You have a love issue, Aiko! Don't deny the facts!" she finished. She started saying something else that I didn't catch because the bell rang.

"I guess I'll see you in chemistry, Julz." I said as we walked to the garbage can to throw away our trash. I literally ate none of my lunch.

"See you in chem. Don't stop thinking about Everett!"

"Good bye, Julie." I finished. I walked down the opposite hallway thinking that Julie was right. I do have a love issue. I won't be able to stop thinking about Everett for the rest of the day. "It is going to be a looong day." I told myself as I headed to my seat in class.
