Chapter 26
Today is the day me and Joe get to go on our weekend away. We are going Friday to Monday and we will be baby free till Monday afternoon. I love Izzy to death but it has been very hard lately with her, she is 5 months old now and my god she is a hand full at time.
"OMG babe I have forgot to start my vlog and it's already 11" Joe said from the driving seat of the car (he is a daily vlogged in this... we all know he is anyway 😉) "do you mind starting it for me, explain where we are going and how long. Tell them the next 3 days will be in one long vlog"
I nod and pull his camera out of his back pack in the back, turn it on and check that it is working properly and turn it round so it's facing me. I check the focus and press record "good morning everyone... yes this is unusual isn't it, it's me starting the vlog. Well this idiot" I turn the camera to face Joe and he sticks his tung out at me "forgot to start the vlog and it's already 11:09" I stick my phone up so they can see the time "so we are on the way to... em... those tree houses that Zoe took Alfie to for his 22nd birthday, you all know which ones I mean, anyway we are child free for the next 3 days and I am already missing our Iz. All of this little holiday will be in one long vlog as we won't have Internet here and Joe wants to enjoy the break. His #SuggSunday is ready to go up on Sunday and so is mine" I say winking to the camera as I know everyone would have gone crazy over me saying that "Anyway my arm is killing me so see you when we get there" I turn off the camera and place it on the dash board. "Oh wait I forgot something" I pick the camera back up "I forgot to say that Joe here thought I would be a good idea to take the Audi TT so have very little luggage"
As we arrived into the tree house I was taken back by the size of it. It was huge! Joe took out his camera and started vlogging the place, I walked out onto the balcony and looked out over the forest, it was amazingly beautiful. "Oh my god babe this is amazing, I can't believe we have this to ourself for the next 3 days" Joe said coming up to me and hugging me from behind "it's only 12:30, they said that our lunch would be here in about 15 mins, what you want to do for now?" I didn't even say anything I just looked at the hot tub and he got the idea.
We both got into the hot tub, even though it's February it's quite warm outside, the sun it's out but it's still not freezing. I was just relaxing in the tub when Joe came out with "sooo, em do you actually want to... you know... tonight" wow that isn't awkward at all.
"Joe if you are taking about sex then... well yeah I do" I said looking down to my feet in the water.
"I just... you know... didn't know if you were ready after the birth and we have only been together... jesus it's our anniversary in like a month"
"Jesus it is and yes I am ready it's been 5 months and we have been together almost a year" I looked at him and thought of something that would make him feel better "hey your sister did it with Alfie after 5 months"
He cringed and shivered "how do you know that and also I didn't need too"
"She told me after wedding dress shopping, her and Louise were telling me we should" I said laughing remembering the conversation.
"Well... you learn summit new everyday, even if you didn't want to know it"
Later in the day
"Omg the food here is amazing!" Joe said sitting back on the sofa after demolishing a massive 2 layer burger and sweet potato chips. I had a ham and sweetcorn pizza, it was amazing and it came with a little garlic roll thing. "So movie in bed?"
He hasn't spoke about doing you know what since being in the hot tub earlier I think he wants it to be a normal experience instead of planning it "Yeah but I get to choose" I said winking at him.
"Ok as long as it's not some crappy Disney film then I am in" he said laughing packing up all the scraps from the dinner.
We both got into our pj's and got under the covers, I flicked through the movie selection "Ooo what about Titanic" I said looking up at Joe knowing what his response would be.
"Hell no you will be crying your eyes out"
"Ok fine how about Fast and Furious number 2?
"Now your talking" he said cuddling down further into me. I know for a fact we wouldn't watch the whole thing but it's worth the start.
