Maya - It's one minute to midnight, and I'm glad you're standing here.

Lucas - Well, that kinda makes up for everything.

Lucas walks closer, bringing Maya's face close to his. He looks deeply into her eyes.

Lucas - Can I kiss you?

Maya - Yes.

The share a smile, before their lips meet in a passionate kiss, full of feeling. They a blind to the world around them, and doesn't hear the court down the start of a new year. When Farkle says Riley still loves Lucas, they doesn't hear it. They break away from the kiss, to fireworks going off in the back ground. They suddenly realize that everyone is looking at them.

Lucas - What are you all looking at?

Farkle - Didn't you guys hear what I just said?

Lucas - No.

Maya - What did you say?

Farkle - I said that Riley still loves Lucas.

Maya - What? Riley, is that true?

Yogi - Well, it was a wonderful party, good night. 

All of their classmates run away as fast as the can.

Maya - Riley, why didn't you tell me?

Riley - You were so happy, I didn't want to take that from you.

Maya - Friends are supposed to tell each other their secrets, you tell me that every time I had a secret.

Riley - You hid that you liked Lucas for 2 years, I was trying to do the same for you.

Maya - I'm done talk about this, and Farkle?

Farkle - Yeah.

Maya - Next time you should think about the fuller picture, instead of just one part of it. I'm leaving now.

Maya walks down the stairs from the roof.

Lucas - Maya!

She doesn't answer, she just keeps walking faster, feeling tears falling down her cheeks. Lucas looks at Farkle and Riley with a sad and angry look on his face.

Lucas - You guys happy now? Cause I sure as hell are not.

Farkle - It needed to be said! How else were you supposed to know you still have a chance with Riley?

Lucas - Maybe I didn't wanna know that! Maybe I have been over her for a long time! Maybe I have been in love with Maya for a long time, and when I first got the courage to truly tell her how I feel, you two ruined it!

Riley - I'm sorry, Lucas.

Farkle - I am too.

Lucas - Well, that isn't gonna help what you have done. I'm gonna leave now.

Lucas walks down the stairs of the roof, and walks as fast as he can, to the only place he wants to be right now. With Maya. When he reaches her bedroom window, it's poring raining. He looks into her window, and sees Maya sitting on her bed, drawing. Lucas knocks on her window, Maya looks up, and is shocked to sees him standing there. She walks over, and opens the window, letting him in.

Maya - Are you crazy? It's raining like mad, you'll get sick!

Lucas - I couldn't just leave you alone after what happened.

Maya walks out of the room, and comes back with a towel. She trows it to Lucas, and he catches it easily. He trying to dry himself as good as he can, while Maya sits back on her bed watching him.

Maya - You know, you could have waited until tomorrow when it wouldn't be rain this much. You are basically asking for hypothermia.

Lucas - That's a good point, I guess you just make me forget about everything else, then making sure you are okay.

Lucas takes his shirt over his head, taking it off.

Maya - Oh, wow, wow, wow!! What are you doing?!

Lucas - My clothes are soaking wet, Maya. I thought you didn't want me to get hypothermia.

Maya - Okay, fine. I'm just glad my mother and grandmother are out of town, if any of them had seen you here with this little clothes, I would be grounded for the rest of my life.

Lucas laughs as he hears this, and takes off his pants and socks.

Maya - Just so you know, I don't have any clothes that fit you.

Lucas - Well, then I guess I'm just have to stay like this until my clothes are dry.

Maya - It's starting to get late, we can stay here if you want. I'll just go put your clothes in dryer.

Lucas - Thank you, I'll send my mama a text, so she knows were I am.

Maya - Okay, I'll be right back.

Maya comes back into the room 5 minutes later, to find Lucas leaning against her window frame. It was first now that she notices how good looking Lucas truly is. Especially his abs.

Lucas - See something you like?

Maya - Puff, no...

Lucas - You're a really bad liar, you know that?

Maya - Can we... Can we just go to sleep now?

Lucas - Sure.

Maya lays down, Lucas follow, and tries  to lay his hand around her. She takes it off.

Maya - Don't.

Lucas - Why?

Maya - Just because I'm letting you stay here, doesn't mean that I forgive you for using me to get back together with Riley.

Lucas - What? Maya, I wasn't using you. I don't even like Riley like that, I like you.

Maya - Save it for someone who cares. Goodnight.

Lucas - No, we aren't finished with this.

He rolls himself on top of her, and holds her down.

Maya - Get off me, Lucas!

Lucas - No! Not until you have heard this.

Maya looks away, refusing to look him in the eyes.

Lucas - Maya, listen. I like you. Riley may be who everyone thinks I would fit best with, but I don't want easy. I want you. I want all the teasing and nicknames, I don't want anyone else in this world, but you. And I will do anything in my power to make you see that.

He gives her a peek on the lips, before rolling off of her, and laying down next to her.

Maya - I like you too.

Lucas - Good to know.

He lays his arms around Maya, cuddling her.

Lucas - Goodnight, beautiful.

He gives her a kiss on the cheek.

Maya - Goodnight, huckleberry.
