The next morning as I got up my wrists and thighs were hurting it took me a second to release what happened last night. I got up putting on a tan a line skirt with black tights a black crop top and a gray cable knit cardigan to cover my arms. I walked into the lounge putting on my boots making a slice of toast and eating it on my way to the bus stop. As I was walking down my path I saw Lucas on his law. His lovely green eyes almost shut. All red, he had tear stains on his checks his hair wasn't perfectly done. He just looked at me longingly as I crossed the road on my way to the bus stop. Oh ya, he knows my secret.

As I was walking down the hall I felt a hand grab my wrists

Riley: ouch!

I turned around to see Lucas quickly let go of my wrists.

Lucas: I'm sorry. Look can we talk.

He put his hands in his pockets looking down at the floor.

Riley: Erm sure.

Lucas grabbed hold of my hand pulling me into an empty classroom.

Lucas: what happened last night. We were kissing having fun. Next, you're gone. Then I hear you singing when I'm with someone else. I didn't think you liked me. Then your body, why Riley?  Why do you do that? 

The tears just streaming down his face. He was really upset with me.

Riley: Because, Lucas, it's the only pain I can control. And I got scared cause my sleeves came up. I thought you liked me! The I saw you with that girl. I'm sorry I'm so fucked up with my emotions and feelings.

Lucas: Well I don't like you so you were so wrong. Freak!

Did he just call me a freak? He doesn't like me! I could feel the tears falling out of my eyes.

Riley: goodbye Lucas.

I left the room quick walking down the hall

Lucas: Riley I'm sorry!

The whole hall all now looking at me

Riley: No Lucas you made your point pretty clear just then.

I carred on walking down the hall wiping away the tears away as I hear Lucas kick the lockers.

*at break*

I closed my locker and saw Maya standing there.

Maya: you okay?

Riley: No. But I will be.

Maya: I tried to warn you.

Riley: I know and I'm sorry but Lucas isn't actually my problem at the moment.

Maya: oh he's not?

Riley: nope.

Maya: I'm, hear if you wanna talk.

She placed her hand on my wrists. I flinched in pain but kept it is so she didn't know.

As I got home I saw Lucas walking into his house with a new girl. I stood there for a second as he turned around looking at me before walking into his house. I sucked in the tears walking into my house I saw Edward and Emily sitting on the couch.

As I walked in closing the door they both got up. I back into the corner terrified of what was gonna happen to me. The tears now escaping my eyes. I couldn't help it.

Riley: please don't hurt me. Please just don't hurt me.

I covered my face i could feel my body shaking.
When I couldn't hear them talking I looked up to see them holding the blade I used last and the tin I left in the bathroom.

Emily: what are you doing to your self?!

Riley: it's the only pain I can control okay. You think it's easy to be me. We'll it's not. I hate my stupid life

I felt Edward grab my arm. I closed my eyes in pain.

Edward: you stupid girl.

He passed me the tin as he took Emily by the hand

Edward: were going to the pub. Don't bleed to death while we're gone I'll have to clean you up.

As I heard the door slam I ran into my room ripping all the silly put together 'Family' photos I had up before dropping into my bay window. I couldn't take it anymore I got out a blade from my tin. I didn't know Lucas was watching me. From everything Edward and Emily had said to what Lucas said. I saw a figure run across his lawn but I wasn't paying attention.

As I was about to cut my bedroom door flung open.

Lucas: Riley don't.

Riley: why not I don't have anything else left for me. I wanna be with my parents.

Lucas: You are they are always watching you.

Both are eyes streaming with tears.

Riley: I just wanna see my mommy and daddy Lucas!  I just wanna see them.

I was now pretty much in Lucas arms. I dropped the tin and the blade on the floor before fully collapsing into his arms.

Lucas: I'm hear for you Riley. I am.

I slightly felt him kiss my forehead. I was so num I couldn't really feel anything.
