"Ne kamsamnida!" I said as I bid goodbye to the girls as they left the shop. I took their plates and placed them on my small cart. My head was quite in pain, I shrugged it off. I still have another job after this shift. I shook my pain off and cleaned the shop.
I heard the bell ring, signalling a new customer enter. "Welcome!" I beamed as I took another plate from a table. I looked up and saw girl who looked worn out of work. She wore a black suit and skirt. Her dyed brown hair was all over even if she put in a bun.
She sat down and signalled me to come over. "Ne? What is your order?" I asked, taking out my notepad. "I'll have a soju and spicy rice cake." She said; not looking at me then slumped back to her seat, bringing out her phone while tapping it groggily.
"Okay then. Please wait for a bit." I said, smiling widely at her but she didn't even look up. She was focusing too much on her phone. I left her and went to the kitchen counter. "Hyung!" I called out to the man behind the counter.
"Bwo?!" I heard him yell a bit. He looked at me, holding up a ladel on his hand. His brown hair was in a hairnet, black eyes that make girls melt and that body who knows where it came from even if all he does is cook.
"Uh......one spicy rice cake!" I said, scurrying off and taking a bottle of soju from the fridge. I placed in on my tray and went to the girl again who was now off her phone. "Here's your soju." I said, she looked up at me and stiffened. She scanned me with hawk eyee that I felt uncomfortable with.
"You-" She started but was cut off by a ring of a bell. "I'm sorry please wait." I said, jogging over to the kitchen counter where Hyung was waiting with a bowl of spicy rice cake. "Gomawo Hyung!" I said as I put the bowl on my tray. I grabbed a pair of chopsticks and a fork to go with it.
"Yah Baeksoo-ah! How many times have I told you that 'hyung' is for boys only! You should call me 'oppa'. Oppa!" He whined, playing out his ladel on me. I rolled my eyes. "But I like Hyung better. And you love me anyways." I said then left, I'm pretty sure he'll be sighing in defeat now.
"Here you go, one spicy rice cake. Enjoy your meal." I said, smiling at her. I placed the bowl, chopsticks and fork down the table. She just stared at me then placed her chin on her hand.
I felt really uncomfortable. I held the tray with both hands. "Is there anything else?" I asked her, she didn't reply and simply continued staring at me. "You...." she trailed off, scanning my face.
"Yes?" I asked. This is scary am I in trouble? "Do you.....want to be famous?" She asked. I looked at her, confused. Threre weren't many customers at the moment so that was a relief. "What do you mean?" I asked her.
She took out her bag and searched for something. She took out a business card and handed it to me. "I'm a part of SM Entertainment's casting team. Park Jun Hye, if you're interested call me whenever or visit us." She said, forcing me to take it so I did.
I blinked twice. Is this for real? I bowed then went back to the kitchen counter. I slumped back to the counter, holding out the card she gave me. SM Entertainment huh?
"Whats wrong?" I heard a familiar voice ask. I turned to the voice. "Hyung, that girl over there just asked me if I wanted to become an idol." I said, looking at his black eyes.
"Bwo?!" He said then laughed out. "Yah Hyung!" I yelled, playfuly glaring at him. He looked at me while laughing, wiping a small tear. Aish this Hyung.
"Yah Baeksoo-ah, aren't you overworking yourself? You? An idol? Heol!" He commented, hitting me lightly on the head. I looked at him with a knowing look. "Yah Hyung! I'm not hallucinating!" I said, handing him the card.
