The Doctor looked over at Rose. They were in the TV room, sitting next to each other and watching a movie. She was transfixed on the screen, as it was a movie she adored. The Doctor wasn't paying attention. He didn't even know what movie it was. His attention was mostly on his pink and yellow human. It was funny, how much humans became emotionally invested in movies and such. They hardly affected him. Then again, some of the things he enjoyed were incredibly strange to Rose.
The Doctor had finally got into the plot of the movie when he looked over and noticed Rose was asleep. He smiled, and gently pulled her closer. She stirred slightly, half awake long enough to curl up against him, snuggling into his chest. Then, she was out again. He kept an arm around her and turned back to the movie. He was beginning to see why Rose loved it so much. It had just the right mix of romance, terror, comedy, and drama. Quite fantastic, he decided.

Rose's eyes fluttered open to find herself in the Doctor's arms, laying on top of him. Her head had been settled on his chest. While she herself had been asleep, he had stretched out on the couch, settling her on top of him. He was sleeping peacefully, his face soft and innocent. Rose blushed, pushing away her thoughts. Now, she had to figure out how to get up without waking him. Turned out she didn't have to think about that. The Doctor opened his eyes, blinking away the blurriness before looking up at her. She thought she could see his cheeks turn a faint pink, and she was sure her own blush was obvious.
“...Hello.” she mumbled shyly. The corners of his mouth turned up in an amused smile. Rose could feel her heart skip a beat.
“Hello.” he replied, his voice matching his amused smile. She sat up, straddling his legs.
The Doctor continued to smile as he watched Rose. Her cheeks were a deep red color, and he could sense her fast heartbeat. He knew his own hearts were racing, and he was sure he too was blushing. He knew he should move, but he didn't. As Rose tried to move off of him, he wrapped his arms around her and sat up. He pulled her to sit in his lap, their noses an inch apart.
The Doctor didn't know what came over him, but he craved to be close to her. He always had, but now he couldn't ignore the urge to hold her close. He rested his head on her shoulder, lightly nuzzling her neck. Rose had completely frozen. Her cheeks burned. She didn't know what he was doing, or why, but she had to admit she was enjoying it. A lot.
After a moment or two, she slowly relaxed. She slid her arms around his shoulders, hugging him softly. She lightly rubbed his back, closing her eyes with a happy smile.
That's when everything changed directions.
The Doctor, hesitantly and softly, pressed a kiss to the soft skin of her neck. He could hear her take in a sharp breath, though it was very quiet. He felt he had done something wrong. He started to pull back, but Rose kept him close. She snuggled into his shoulder, and he took that as a good thing.
Rose shivered slightly as he kissed her neck again. She was still confused. She didn't know what had brought this on, but she would be lying if she said she wanted it to stop. In fact, she wanted it to continue. So far, it looked like it was going to. After a moment, he began to slowly kiss up her neck. Her hands lightly clung to his jacket, and her breathing hitched slightly. She bit her lip as he reached her jaw.
The Doctor was lost in her scent, her warmth. He closed his eyes as his lips reached her jaw. He smiled against her skin as he heard her breath hitch. He felt her fists clench a bit tighter around the fabric of his jacket. His lips continued down her jaw, and stopped at the corner of her mouth.
Rose pouted slightly when he stopped. Her eyes were still closed, and her hands still grasped the back of his jacket. Impatient, she turned her head and finally did what she had wanted to do for so long. She kissed his lips softly and warmly. He hugged her tighter, and she released his jacket. Her hands moved to tangle in his perfect hair, holding him even closer. When she had to pull back for air, his lips remained in contact with her. Her jaw, her neck, anywhere he could see her skin.
After a moment, Rose pulled him back to her lips. The kiss grew more heated, and the Doctor leaned into it eagerly. The farther forward he leaned, the farther back she leaned. Finally, she was laying on her back with him holding himself up above her. One arm under her back, the other resting by her head. Her hands detangled from his hair, moving down to his jacket. She slid her hands under the jacket, pushing it off his shoulders. He broke away from her lips, sitting up to tug the jacket off. He let it fall to the floor before putting his arm under her again. She wrapped her left leg around his right and clung to his shirt.
She bit her lip as he began to kiss her neck again, this time more confidently. "Rose?" he mumbled, his voice husky. His breath tickled against her skin.
"Y-yeah?" she whimpered, shivering slightly.
"I love you." he told her, meaning every word.
"I-I love you too, Doctor."
