Anastasia's point of view

Currently i'm waiting in line contemplating which of the two cards i picked out is better. After the thousands of stupid, cheesy cards i've been through today I finally found two perfect ones. As soon as that happened I rushed to the head of the store before I could even start to overthink my decisions, and go back to look for more.

"I don't know, I don't know, I don't know." My brain groaned.

Me either my friend, me either. I stood there staring at them intently, when a brilliant idea inserted itself into my brain. I know how to solve this dilema..... eeny meeny miny moe. Well maybe it wasn't so much as a brilliant idea that slipped into my mind, but it 's better than nothing.

"Next." A voice spoke from in front of me. Realizing it was my turn, I walked up to the register and placed my cards on the counter flipping them around to face the cashier.

He looked at me questionably. "If you were my brother which card would you like more?" I asked, since I obviously have no clue which one to get him.

"Um before I choose is their any specific reason you picked these cards." He asked biting his cheek to keep his laugh in. I get it though these are peculiar, out of the ordinary, birthday cards you would choose for your brother.

"Me and my brother always give each other stupid cards for our birthdays. It's just like our own special tradition, I chose this one because he hates Justin Bieber with a passion." I chuckled a bit pointing to the card.

"And I chose this one because I thought it was kind of iconic considering he's in the army

"And I chose this one because I thought it was kind of iconic considering he's in the army." I shrugged, then I looked back at him. He smiled to himself and then stared down at the cards.

"If you like them equally, why not get them both?" He asked looking back up at me.

"Well I.. I never thought of that, I mean I could.. Yeah actually that's not a bad idea." I said relieved I now have a solution.

"Thank you for your help um..." I said hinting for him to say his name, but he just stared at me confused for a few seconds.

"Oh shit right, Calum. I'm Calum." He said quickly, and then mumbled a few curse words to himself making me laugh a bit.

"Nice to meet you Calum, i'm Anastasia." I smiled holding out my hand, he gladly accepted it and I swear I felt a bolt of electricity surge threw my body. I'm not sure if I was just imagining it or maybe he felt it too? After a while we let go, slowly releasing our hands.

"So um... when's your brothers birthday." He coughed, rubbing his arm. Well no, no this isn't awkward at all.

"Six weeks from today." I laughed, looking down a bit embarrassed.

"And your scheduale is so busy, that you can't fit in time to buy a card in between those six weeks?" Calum teased.

"Ha ha." I rolled my eyes playfully "It's not that i'm so much as busy, it's just my brother's in the army and I have to send the card out earlier so it can reach him on his actul birthday." I nodded, it's a really complicated process. I always manage to send it either a day late or a day early. Never on time and this time i'm determined for him to finally get the card on his birthday.
