Chapter 6. ~Johnny's Point of veiw~

nOI walked over to Sharlette laying there, her head was bleeding, she got down 3 socs by herself, it was Bob who got her.

her breathing wasn't steady one bit.

"DARRY!" I yelled at him.

he ran over and saw his baby sister laying in the lot.

the police had came by and saw us.

"what's the problem?" They asked.

"It's My sister sharlette, she got beat and she's bleeding," Darry Said.

"do you want us to radio an ambulance?" the cop said.

"please," he told them.

I've never seen the gang so worried. I was becoming pale I knew it. if Shar didn't make it.. My heart would just break.

Pony looked at me.

"I know, Johnny," he said.

"what?" I questioned.

"I know you like her," he said.

I almost cried then and there. I never liked anyone so much.

she wasn't a member of the gang then, or Like a sister, she was someone I wished to have had the courage to ask her to go to the fountain to get a pepsi and ice cream to just be me and her,

I would die without her. I wish she knew.

when we got to the hospital they took her in a room and wrapped her head, they closed the door after that.

"Boys," I said, looking at all if them. especially Darry, Soda, and Pony.

"that girl.. the girl named Sharlette."

"Oh , Johnny, spit it out," Pony said, knowing what I wad gonna say.

"I love her, not as a part of the gang LOVE her, but more as a date love,"

that was the most brave thing I've done. I've never spoken much on my feelings and just hid a lot.

"aww shucks Johnnycake's in love!" Dally teased.

the brothers looked at me.

"That's really sweet! but if you hurt her.." Darry started.

"I know Darry, I won't ever," I already knew what he would've said.

we waited to the doctor to come out..

"she'll be here for 2 days and she has one rip that was dented in, and a minor concussion from a kick to the head, I suggest all not related to her leave. but she did say one thing when we got her conscious," he said.

"what did she say?" I asked.

"I was telling her that the family could stay but l guess she came to at the end, she said 'can Johnny come too?' which one of you is Johnny?"

I raised my hand,

"and her brothers?"

pony, Darry, and Soda raised their hands.

"You 3 can see her tomorrow,"

"Alright.."

we Walked down the hall and saw her.
