I woke up to Matt in my arms. I smiled and started playing with his hair again. I liked playing with his hair. He woke up and smiled at me. "Good morning, Nate."
"Morning. What do you want to do today?"
"We could go out and do something. That'd be nice." I nodded. Maybe I could take Matt to the park. I moved him beside me and went upstairs to grab him clothes. I went back downstairs and tossed him his clothes.
"Here, put these on. I gave an idea." I turned around while he put on his clothes. When he was done, I gave him a piggy back ride to the park. He gasped when he saw where we were. He loved the park. We sat down at a bench and just sat there in silence. It wasn't an awkward silence either. He rested his head on my shoulder, and we sat there and just admired the place.
~Time Skip~
We got back home, and I took Matt upstairs to his room. He wasn't asleep yet, and I didn't want to leave him alone yet, so I sat on his bed while he slept. Eventually, I got tired too, and fell asleep.
I woke up and had to go to the bathroom. Matt wasn't in bed, so I assumed he went to go get a midnight snack. I walked in the bathroom, and saw Matt. He had his razor in the hand, yelling at the mirror, slitting his wrists. I ran in and pushed him to the floor, causing the razor to fly out of his hand.
He looked at me and yelled. I went behind him and held his hands to his chests, my hands intertwined with his. I didn't want him trying to go for the razor. He was crying his eyes out, yelling at me to let him go.
I simply kissed his neck, causing him to freeze. It wasn't a full out kiss, just a little peck. "Matt, we're going to get through this. I promise. You can yell at me all you want if it makes you feel better. Just, please, do not cut."
"And why shouldn't I? Why do you care so much?"
I kissed his neck again. This time, it was a kiss. A REAL kiss. I didn't think it meant anything, I just wanted to calm him down. And it worked. I whispered in his ear. "We're gonna get through this." He nodded and calmed down a bit. We sat there for a few minutes, until Matt told me he was ready to go back to bed. I took his hand, and we walked back to the bedroom.
He said he couldn't sleep, so I sang a little tune to him. He fell asleep quick. I looked down at him. I couldn't stand seeing him like this. I didn't know what to do. Do I love him?
