I woke to a dark Colorado morning . The sky past my dragon window curtains was black, the sun wasn't even awake yet . I looked at my digital clock, groaning as the soft glow of the screen illuminated my mid sized room with just enough light to see by. It was 6:25. Fifteen minutes till my bus arrived. Slowly , taking care not to overwork my strangely sore limbs, I sat up and reached for my cellphone , sliding down off my home-made bed , and into a pair of blue jeans . My ex had text me about forty times, spamming my freakin messenger. I opened my messenger and found only thirty nine messages from my ex , but one from an old friend of mine . ' Hey, Angel , I know I haven't messaged you in a while but I need some help with something , so message me back as soon as you can , ok?' I trusted Raven with every bit of me, so although I hadn't seen her in a long time I text back .' Hey, what's up ? Is something wrong?' A few minutes passed before she messaged again , and I was dressed and eating breakfast at the time. 'I'm in a spot of trouble , and I'm in town , so can you meet me after you get out of school at the park ?' She text me. ' Yeah sure, I'll c u then ' I text , takeing care of my dishes before the bus came up to take me to school .
At the school , I bought a MtnDew Kickstart from the machine and went to my Spanish class. It was still dark out , which was odd because normally the sun would be up by now , it was 7:30 after all. " Today is a dark day." Owen was one of my best friends , and although he had crippled legs, he moved well around the school. I nodded in agreement. School passed slowly , but eventually I got to the park. Dark clouds had covered the sky all day, it even smelled like rain . As I set my bag down at our table, I saw something .... Strange . There was a couple on a bench , dressed in black jeans and black hoodies with hoods pulled over their faces. Before I could stare too long, a package dropped into my lap, too large for a bird to have carried. I grunted as it landed , then unwrapped it. On the parchment it read " Sorry I couldn't be here, but she was looking for you ." She? Who was she ? 'Me' . A female voice, one I didn't recognize.
