Maya's POV:
"Hey sweetie, how was school?" Mum said.
I just stared at her.
"Maya? What's wrong?" She asked.
"Mum, has anyone ever kept a secret from you and when you find out, you also know it's happened for a long time?" I asked.
"Oh yes that always happened to me when I was in scho-"she replied however I cut her off.
"So you do know how it feels?"
"Yes of course. Has that happened to you in school, today? If it has, don't worry, I'll sort it out." She told me.
"Well, yes it happened today actually. And you wanna know who it was?" I say, hoping she replies.
"Who? Who? Oh please tell me who?" She replies.
"You! You have! Dad came to school today and told me everything. A sister! I thought I could trust you. I thought we weren't keeping secrets from each other. I thought we were getting along. Obviously not!" I'm so glad I got that out of me. I've held it in all day.
"Maya I-" I cut her off once again.
"I don't want to hear it mum. I'm staying at Riley's tonight so can you get out my room so I can pack!" That was a question I didn't want her answer.
She just nodded and left the room. Once again I lay on my bed and began to think...
Was I too harsh? No no. She deserved it. But maybe she had a reason? Still, I had the right to know!
