**Just a warning**

This will be the most confusing, and stupid chapter, in this book

Do you know what I hate more than finding out my mate has a girlfriend? Or a Luna or a... whatever you get the point.

I think it's safe to say I want to rip Stephan's hair out with my claws, and smash his head against the steering wheel, which he's currently holding.

Never mind about the last part.

"Look at me Jess! No hands on the wheel! You wish you were as cool as me."

"Stephan! Put your hands back now!" I yell at the idiotic Beta sitting in the drivers seat.

"Where do I put them though? Let's pretend I don't even know how to drive, so you teach me and I'll lean back an-"

I cut him off with a big slap on the head. I want to laugh as I hear him whine out an 'ow' but I try to compose myself and keep it cool.

"Why did you do that?" He asks while putting his hands back on the wheel.

I just shrug and turn my attention back onto the empty road surrounded by trees. I don't even know where we're going, because I've never been this far from my pack, but I guess I'll find out sooner or later.

"So..." Stephan mumbles as he tightens his grip on the wheel. I just ignore him and concentrate on the passing trees that seem to go by in a blur.

"You and Elijah...?" He says in a shy, questioning voice.

I just sit still unmoving in my seat and nod silently waiting for him to continue.

"You guys are together... Mates?"

"Yes" I respond in a monotone voice.

I hear his breathes start to come out uneven, and I glance his way seeing his jaw slightly locked. It looks as if he's keeping himself from saying something, but I can almost see the gears turning in his head.

"You okay?" I question raising my eyebrows.

He looks over at me and his blue eyes lock on my brown ones, "I'm fine."

"Mhmm, that's what they all say" I mutter quietly.

A blush rises to my cheeks, as I hear him chuckle deeply and turn back to me, "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Oh nothing."

"So now you're going to pull that card?" He questions gruffly.

Leaning my head against the window, I sigh as the cool glass comes in contact with my forehead. "What card" I mumble.

"Never mind" he chuckles again.

"Alright" I yawn, "When you change your mind, let me know."

Silence filled the car for about an hour.

It wasn't an awkward silence, but it definitely wasn't pleasant. With just the soft music playing in the background from the radio, I remained in the same position. I had dozed to sleep on and off while Stephan just continued driving to where ever it is that we're going.
