Karsons Pov

I watched as the dim yellow bus chugged down the street. I grabbed my luggage, my backpack already clinging to my shoulders.
I honestly couldn't wait for this week and a half to be over. I mean who could blame me, this is the dorkiest camp ever.
The only thing they're letting us bring are clothes, how do they expect me to survive without my phone? Sadly I have no way out of this nerdy dump.
My best friend, Dominica, decided to apply us both for this. And her whole family being the goodie two shoes they are, my mom gladly agreed.
So here I am, standing on the corner of my street; Waiting for this lousy old bus to pick me up.
I groaned watching as the bus came to a halt, and it's squeaky door squealed open. Revealing an overly cheery middle aged man, who only wore a camp tee and jean shorts; an ugly combo.
I grunted, tugging my luggage as I walked to the bus. I looked down hopping over a puddle that almost soaked my already dirty shoes. I swung my suitcase onto the stairs, and started to climb up.
"Need help?" The older man asked, his face similar to the fake depictions of Santa. Rosy cheeks, button nose, and scraggly grey and white hair.
"I'm fine." I grunted finally reaching the isle. Surprisingly there was a decent amount of kids on this bus, at least twenty. Not two or three like I suspected.
I glanced around, spotting my friend Dom in one of the seats. She was peeking from above the seat, showing of her black hair, and perky black glasses.
She smiled and I nodded, as I began to trudge pass sections of seats. All to sit next to the probably only person I am going to talk to during this trip.
"How's it going Karson?!" She said cheerily, her icy blue eyes staring at me. I shrugged, sitting down next to her. Before shoving my luggage into the seat across from us.
"Well it's only the first minute and I literally already hate it." I said with a smirk, crossing my legs.
"What? Really? I thought this was going to be really cool." She said nervously, obviously not getting my joke.
The bus jolted forward, making me jerk forward. My face very close to smacking  against the seat in front of me.
"Ugh, I was joking. But I did honestly wish they let us bring our phones." I said groaning, looking over and facing Dom. Who rolled her eyes.
"Taking out phones would ruin the whole purpose of camp, plus what would you need your phone for?" She asked crossing her arms.
"Texting my friends who were cool enough to not end up here, duh." I said laughing at my own joke, as Dominica just sat there.
"What?" I asked a concern look on my face. Dom was just staring at me, eerily.
"Dom!" I said loudly snapping in her face. "Earth to Dominica."
"Oh shush it I was just thinking, and I told you it's Dom; Not ever Dominica." She explained with a sigh. Trust me she hated her full name, and much rather go by Dom. I think it bothers her for some reason, but then again that's what annoying your best friend is for.
"Fine fine, I won't call you it anymore." I said holding my hands up defensively. "Dominica."
"Karson Reenae!" Dom yelled, holding her hands on her hips.
"I would hit you for that if I wasn't so nice." She said grunting, and rolling her eyes.
"You can't hit me I'm your best friend." I said with a smile.
        "Not for long."
"Huh?" I asked Dom confused. I was looking at her as we were talking. but she didn't say anything; and I swore I heard a voice. "Did you say anything?"
"No.... did you?" She said looking at me like I was crazy. Which earned me to state at my feet awkwardly.
"Never mind." I murmured. But honestly I knew in my mind that someone said something. Dom or not, I heard what the said. Or least what I heard.
        "Not for long."
