Chapter 5

(Gracie’s POV)

He walked into the room like nothing happened. Like that touch didn’t mean a thing. It had to. I needed to ask him what happened and why he left like that. He was standing by his locker and he slammed it and started to turn around.

“Stop!” I yelled at him.

I walked up to where he stopped and I pulled him and pinned him against the locker.

“Listen….I know you felt something when we touched like I did.” I said. “Don’t deny it.”

“Maybe, But I’m not going to do anything about it.”

“You’re not going to be saying that later.” I said kissing his neck.

I planted one kiss on his lips and he started kissing back. I felt that spark again. I pulled away and said “Told you.”

I grabbed my books that I had dropped when I pulled him against the locker, and walked to class. I forgot that he was in my next class. JOY.

John walked up to me wrapping his arm around me and said, “Sup beautiful?”

“John, why do you have to be gay?” I asked.

“Because, baby girl, you couldn’t handle me.” He said winking at me.

“Haha.” I said while Katie walked up to us.

We walked to class laughing and having fun. All I could think about was that kiss. All I could think about was him.

I decided to skip class so I turned around and walked to my locker.

“Where are you going, Gracie?” John said.

“Home.” I told him.

“Not by yourself.” Katie said.

“Fine.” I said. “Let me put my stuff in my locker.”

I put my stuff in the locker and I saw Tommy behind me when I turned around. He was so sexy.

“Hey.” He said. “We need to talk.”

“I am about to leave with Katie.” I said.

“She can wait.” He said touching my arm and I felt that spark again. This time is jolted through my body.

“You can tell her. I’m not.” I said pulling my arm from his touch.

“I will. Where is she?” He said scanning the hall ways.

“Here.” Katie said.

“I am going to have a talk with her. We’ll be back.” He told Katie.

“K.” She said.

He grabbed my hand and we walked out of the school and into the woods. I stopped before we even went in.

“I am NOT going in there.” I told him.

“Come on. Stop being a girl.” He said. “I will protect you.”

I walked into the woods with him and I sat down on the log that was lying down next to us.

“Now…What do you want.” I said.

He started taking off his clothes and he told me to turn around. I heard a thud and I turned to look at him again. But Tommy wasn’t there. In his place, there was a reddish-brown wolf standing where he was. I slowly started backing away not knowing what the wolf was going to do.

The wolf stood up on their hind legs. Then all of a sudden the wolf turned back into tommy. I turned my head in fright and then I hear, “Gracie, I’m a werewolf.”

“A WHAT?” I yelled.

“And your my mate…” he said so calmly.

“I AM NOT A FUCKING MATE!! I AM NOT A….A….DOG!!!” I yelled in disbelief.

“You will never be a…’dog’” He said sadly. “See, this is why I didn’t want to tell you. Humans will never understand werewolves.”

“I’m sorry…” I said lowering my voice.

He walked up to me and took my face in his hand. He kissed me on the forehead. He started putting his clothes on. He was starting to walk off but I stopped him.

“Wait….Does this mean that we are dating?” I asked.

“Maybe.” I heard him say. “What’s your address?”

I told him my address not knowing what he would say.

“I will be over tonight. Be ready.” He said smiling. That was a good sign wasn’t it?

I just had to swallow the fact that someone at my school was a werewolf. Matter of fact, my soon-to-be boyfriend/ mate was a werewolf. Ugh. What is wrong in this world?

Tommy was already inside of the school.

I turned around to grab my jacket and I saw something in the woods. What in the world?

I started backing out of the woods and I bumped into something. I turned around and I saw that it was Tommy.

“I forgot something.” He said.

What was he doing? Before I could even say anything he started making out with me. I wanted more and more but he pulled away.

“Payback.” He said smiling.
