It peered at me again, and rushed off deep into the forest. I was spooked, and terrified. Was I going to be hunted? Is it going to kill me because I saw it? A thousand thoughts burst into my head like a river. I sprinted home and slammed the door behind me. "Skylar?" My mom called from the kitchen. "Yeah just me mom." I said. I walked into my room and opened my laptop.

The first thing I saw on my homepage was a local, unexplained murder in the forest I walk through to get home. "Man slaughtered, organs ripped out and body savagely torn." It read at the top. I clicked the link and it had a witness report of a large, black, humanoid dog. I called Kiki and told her about it. "Wow, that sounds like a werewolf, but I mean, I doubt it." She said. "Yeah I guess..." I mumbled. Today was the day I wanted to tell Kiki I liked her and asked her out, but I was going to wait for tomorrow at school. "Well, I'll talk to you later, Skylar, get some sleep." She said sweetly. I smiled "Goodnight, Kiki, sweet dreams." I hung up and drifted into a nightmarish sleep. I woke with a cold sweat when the sound of my alarm clock pounded into my head. It made a beeping noise but I heard were wolf howls. I got dressed and ate breakfast and got on the bus to school. I got bullied there to, the names I was called were terrible. Like, emo, fag, gay, and I was told I should kill myself. Every time I got told that a new scar appeared on my arm. I got off the ride to hell, I mean bus, and rushed over to Kiki who was waving to me. "Hey!" She said excitedly. "Hi, Kiki." I smiled. Some random kid pushed me and called me a bitch and walked off. "Asshole." I cursed under my breath. "Don't mind them Skylar..." She said, sadly. "You don't deserve that, your the sweetest and most kind guy I know." She said. "Thanks, you know your my best friend right?" I smiled. "Yeah, of course, your my best friend too." She said. "Kiki I um, I want to tell you something, and I hope it won't change us...but um." I mumbled a bit. "Yeah, what is it?" She said with a hint of worry in her voice. "I um, I...love..you...? Like, more than a friend..." I said. "Oh...really?" She responded.
