It was a quiet day mid-way through September. But they usually are. School had just started about a month ago and of course it already sucked. But there was one thing... No not thing... But one person who kept me from just staying home and dropping out. She can't be described with enough words because everything about her is simply perfect. Her name, Samantha Elizabeth Jacobsen. But she goes by Sam. Who is she to me? She is somehow... My girlfriend. I don't know how it happened. Drunk the night i asked her out? Did it as a dare? Forced to? Felt bad for me? But either way, I know that I'm so lucky to have her and I would never trade her for anything in the world. She's been there for me. My mother died when I was 12 from a car accident and my dad skipped town when he knew he couldn't be a parent by himself. I'm 17 now and can manage very well. I share a small 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with my best friend Cole and Sam has been trying to move in but her and I have to convince her parents. Her parents love me and don't get me wrong I love them like I did my own, but sometimes Sam and I both wish they were gone. Rent at this place isn't too expensive but it's not cheap either. But I do have a job. I work at a record store about four miles away from the apartment. Might I add that I am the assistant manager. It pays about $10.25 an hour which is better than minimum wage. I also get a 3% commission on sales which is great because in our small town, we are the only record store so we get all the business. The small town I hang my hat in is none other than fabulous Port St. Joe, Florida. The constitution city in Florida. It would actually be the capital city of yellow fever didn't wipe out the town a while back. But you didn't come here for a history lesson. Let's kick this thing off!
