The Hunter stood his head ached and he stumbled for a moment supporting himself against a few crates. He shook his head blinking vigorously. He managed to catch and balance himself. His body ached. He recalled the explosion that had decimated the hidden compounds of the illegals.
The Hunter scolded himself. He had been so close. He had caught the scent of those he was supposed to hunt down. He had caught the largest whiff he had ever gotten and now--!
Now it was here.
Where was he?
The Hunter turned around to see the Seer his twin sister laying on the floor the Repeater groaned pushing himself up. He was pissed off. Angry and furious.
"That woman doesn't know what good for her even if she tried", hissed the Repeater referring to the bombing.
He wasn't really surprised that he was alive. It was natural. He was just built better than anyone. His enhancements gave him an edge so he just thought that was the initial reason. Yet in truth it wasn't. The repeater though didn't know this. Neither did anyone else.
The Seer was out and the Repeater was disgusted, "Tsch! Can't even hold her own two feet if she tried", grumbled the Repeater standing.
He looked at the Hunter. He knew from the animalistic look that the Hunter had caught something. If anything it was a scent. The Hunter was tense and his nostrils flared.
"Well, get going, be a good dog and show the way", snapped the Repeater glaring at the Hunter as he stood there. The Hunter curled his fists. How he wanted to tear apart the Repeater for his ignorance. His heart rate began to accelerate and he glared back.
But the scent drew at Thea Hunter. It gnawed at him and eventually took over him and he turned silently creeping out the door which the repeater opened carefully looking around.
The Hunter had instincts kicking in. His skin prickled and he knew he was in opposing territory. But what puzzled him was that the soldiers walking around here were Pure One Soldiers. They were walking around and discussing things. Others jogging in uniform marching motion to get to their stations.
The Hunter though stopped the Repeater curling his fingers in his shirt and shook his head warningly. There was something off about this ship. There was something not sitting right. Even if the New World Order had managed to capture the people they were a threat and needed to be eliminated as ordered.
They were too dangerous to live.
Even in a cell.....
The Hunter waited till the hall was clear and he went forward quickly following the scent. He was close. He knew he was close. He rounded the corner going left. He crept his fingers brushing the walls as he felt his heart begin to race and his pulse pounded in the sides of his neck. He felt the cold metal under his finger tips and he stopped staring.
Anna had rounded the corner at the other end of the hall with an escort. Her eyes narrowed and she snagged a gun from the soldier firing. Her mind was telling her to run. She had gotten this feeling before. Her arms shook as she fired over and over.
The second soldier raised his gun but the Hunter had slammed him down pouncing dodging the blue bullets punching him. The Repeater began to make copies of himself sneering. This was one of them. And she was feisty. It excited him.
Anna stepped back as the Hunter suddenly looked up at her with a look of a cannibalistic man. He growled unable to do anything else. Anna's heart soared and she clenched her teeth about to pull the trigger and scream when a hand clammed over her mouth.
The Hunter pinned her down covering her mouth. Anna struggled her eyes wide with anger and fear. These people. This thing! Her mind was running and racing trying to find a way out. She tried to scream but it was muffled. Her eyes were petrified as she pulled trying to break free.
The Hunter stared and his heart shuttered. He stared at the girl. Her wide frightened eyes.....she looked. Vulnerable. But the Hunter felt a strange pull towards her and he leaned forward getting closer looking into her blue eyes. Wide and staring at him her pupils shocked. Anna was brimming with tears. The Hunter saw this and noticed as Anna tried to turn her head away struggling under his inhumane strength.
Anna flinched hearing a snap. The Repeater laughed with his sick attitude staring at Anna underneath the Hunter. The Repeater crossed his arms smirking slyly. His eyes greedy.
"Well, well, you are a pain. Look at you all frightened like a child", he said.
The Repeater laughed the multitude of copies laughing along with him standing around the mutilated corpse. Anna stared shaking as she saw the mutilated corpse and she began to try and cry tears falling down her cheek as she looked at the repeater.
Anna curled her fingers and glared. If they go after me then they'll--!!!
Anna swung her fist nailing the Hunter in the cheek sending him away. She stood.
"You- You-!!!! You think you can keep taking everything from us! Who are you to think that?! You don't have a right to! You think your special?! You're not! Your just a bunch of-",
Anna saw the Repeater's hand come down towards her and she raised her fist to hit him but felt a blast rippled past her. She turned eyes puffy staring as another blast rippled past her breaking the sound barrier. Anna stared sniffing. She had been holding Sunny in her coat the entire time and the kitten was shaking.
She stared seeing Oblivion his eyes hard as he walked past her not saying anything. Soldiers rushed around the corner apprehending The Repeater and The Hunter who were shaking and having spasms and contortions of shock. The Repeater managed to turn his head shaking and sweating as he saw Oblivion approach him.
The Repeater shook spitting as he spoke painfully, "You traitor", he hissed.
Oblivion stared at The Repeater with no sympathy. He just turned on his heel and walked away without a word.
