A Dream of Fate

Prologue

"You broke the law, Kyrie. Everyone in our world should abide with the law. No exemptions."

Napatungo ako while tears flow down my cheeks. Hinigpitan ko ang kapit sa kinauupuan ko ngayon. I am surrounded with councils with the judge in front of me standing.

Was it really wrong? I didn't mean to fall in love with him. I tried just to stop whatever that feeling is, I really do. But I guess it wasn't meant to happen that way. Kung hindi lang dahil sa mga nagdaang pangyayari.

Tiningnan ko siya mula sa kinauupuan ko. He was helplessly lying on that bed with his hands tied up on his sides. How could I not love this man? Kitang-kita ko ang kanyang mukha dahil sa liwanag na nakatapat sa kanya. Pinikit ko ang aking mga mata. I can't help but to blame myself. I know it was really stupid of me to take the risk because on the first place, I know that it is prohibited in our world.

"Just leave him out of this. There must be some other way to get him out of this." I looked at the head council and the judge trying to find a glimpse of approval in their faces, but all I could see is disgust, anger, and pity. Napatungo ako. There must be some other way, right? There must be.

"You know how our world works, Kyrie. What you did is already written to the gods and there is no other way that you can undone nor erase it." He walked towards the button in front of me then pressed it. Nakakasilaw ang liwanag na lumabas sa harapan na kusang nagpapikit sa akin.

When  I finally opened my eyes, there's a hologram in front of me. It contained a slideshow of videos-- our memories together. Napatitig lang ako as I look on every scene na ipinapakita sa harapan ko.

"You know what will happen to this." Napatingin ako sa head council nang bigla niyang pinatay ang nasa harapan ko. Parang biglang tumigil ang nasa palibot ko. The rule.

I glanced at Heath still silently laying down. His eyes are just as beautiful as it is kahit nakapikit. You can see how pointed his nose is in the side where I am in. His lips ... the same lips I've always wanted to kiss. It's like his face is perfectly carved to be a masterpiece.

"You don't deserve this, Heath. I'm sorry. Sorry" I whispered. Hindi pa rin tumitigil sa pagdaloy ang aking mga luha. Alam ko na kung anong maaring kahinatnan nito and I'm afraid sa kung anong mangyayari the moment he opened his eyes. Natatakot ko sa posibilidad na ako'y maging isang ala-ala nalang sa kanya.

I'm really sorry, my love.

"We don't have to hear anything because in our world, lahat sinusunod natin. The councils have decided and as a consequence, mananatili dito ang lalaking ito. He will remain as your memory. As for you, babalik ka sa mundo ng mga mortal at mawawala ang lahat ng mga alaala mo sa inyo."
