The night rode on longer than usual. For Linda, sleep was her friend, but tonight sleep had left her.
Restless, she hopped out of her bed covers and put on her slippers. Checking her watch, it was 5:50am.
She slipped outside her flat and felt the cool breeze awaken her soul.
So many things played with her mind, the concerning out come of her university tests, conflicts between her parents, but most of all, Kyle.
Her younger brother had been diagnosed for longer than Linda could imagine.
At the age of 11, he was overcome with the rare cancer, alxinopois. (A/N: Made that up) His life revolved around treatment and medication.
A day without interruptions of medical news was a blessing.
Linda missed him, living in your own apartment with rowdy flat mates was hard when your 21.
She looked out on to a sightful viewing of the city at night. Only a river away was where her dreams lay covered, waiting to be tread upon to see what she could gift them.
