Meygans Outfit^
Meygans POV
"I really don't see the reason why you should go on this date with him Meg. Especially if he just used you for sex."
Jade was talking to me as I got dressed.
Frankly I didn't care what she was telling me. I wanted to try to make things work with Travis even if it did take awhile.
I finished getting dressed and took a deep breath. My hands were shaking.
There was a knock at the door and I felt my heart pounding. He was here, Jade went to get the door and I followed. She opened it and it wasn't Travis I saw. Toby, I think thats what his name was, it was Travis brother with the black hair, his cold blue eyes were staring at me "I came to tell you Travis can't come pick you up. But I'm here to take you to him."
I looked at Jade who was looking at Toby disgusted like they knew each other, and Toby was giving the same look. I finally decided to ignore it and leave.
Toby walked me out to his Truck. It was pretty high off the ground and I looked at my heels.
All of I sudden I felt hands around my waist and I was lifted off the ground and my feet we're touching the step on the side of the truck. I looked back at Toby who had the same look on his face like he didn't care.
I smiled "thanks." And sat down in the truck.
It smelt like cigarettes, a smell I was quite aware of and a little hint of vanilla.
Toby got in and started the truck, it had a loud roar to it. I hadn't been in a actual truck like this in years, my dad had one.
Toby started to drive, a rock band played on the radio. His fingers drummed to the beat on the steering wheel. There was a awkward tension. I had to break it.
"How do you know Jade?"
Toby didn't look at me but answered "ex-girlfriend of mine, but we didn't get along."
I snorted "I can tell your not her type?"
Toby rolled his eyes "and what would her type be?"
I rolled mine back "not you."
Toby let out something under his breath that sounded like a growl.
Toby stopped at a old building. He took my hand and helped me out the car after getting out himself and took me inside and downstairs, the place was packed and I found my date in the ring with some guy.
The guy was about twenty times bigher than Travis and he didn't seem to care. Travis was still quick on his feet and seemed to let out alot of anger in each punch and I just watched him. It was amazing how fast he moved on his feet.
Soon the guy was on the ground and Travis was walking out the ring.
As everyone congratulated him I made my way to his locker room. Toby had dissapeared, good thing I knew where the room was.
I sat down in there, I saw the empty Pepsi bottle sitting in the corner with his cigarettes and Jack Daniel's. I looked down, I felt way to dressed up.
Travis came in and shut the locker room door then pulled his shorts off right there next to me. I covered my eyes quickly and he laughed "I have on underwear."
I watched him pull out a pair of jeans and a white button up.
He put on his black boots and smiled "this is the best I can dress up after a fight. Or everything would be wrinkled."
I smiled back "you look fine."
He took my hand and we left.
Now when you usually go on a date with a guy they usually take you somewhere fancy and you remember it all Because it was such a magical night and you never want to forget it right?
Well this isn't how that went.
We went to a basic restaurant. But I wasn't really upset about it.
"I'm sorry by the way. The fight came up last minute and I lost my reservations because of the time." Travis was apologizing while we we're eating fries at an old school diner, something about the place didn't even make me mad. Id rather be here than in an fancy place.
It was around midnight so no one was in the diner but a couple of truckers. It was about 2 burgers and a plate of fries later when we ordered desert. It was one big slice of cherry pie.
I smiles and looked at Travis "do you like whipped cream?"
He nods "it's the best."
I sprayed some on the pie "Bon Appetite"
The pie was gone in 2 minutes flat.
After the pie we went back to Travis apartment.
We laid on the couch and snuggled watching old movies. Even though things didn't go exactly like I wanted it to it was still a good date.
Travis let me stay that night. No matter how many times his brothers complained. I started staying over more often and we started to get to know each other better. But everything didn't stay good. But do you really ever expect anything to stay good for a messed up couple like us?
