I got worried after the texts from Ryan. I guess I started acting funny because Daniel had to order the food as I just stared into space worrying about Ryan selling me out. I don't want Daniel to know. Maybe I can talk to Ryan about it. He grabs me. "Hey, I've been trying to get your attention for about ten minutes, what's wrong!?" I can tell he is worried about me. "I'm fine, I keep zoning out, thinking about stuff. Uhm, do you know Syndicate?" He looks at me glaring. Oh no, did I say something? "Don't talk to him, he is nothing but bad news, he is a huge flirt, too." He was serious. Apparently he really didn't like syndicate. But why? "Let's go. The food is going to be cold if we don't leave." He got icy with me. He was never icy with me before hand. Syndicate texted me a few times and ask how I was, starting a conversation. I made a lie up saying I was busy with my friends and couldn't talk. I turned my brightness down. We got back to my apartment with no speaking. He was really mad at me. This is the point that I have to  choose between someone I really like or a career opportunity friendship. I knew that no matter what I had to do I had to choose.

I got out of the car and hugged Daniel before he got the food. "Don't be mad at me." I stared at him, sorrow in my eyes. "I'm not, I just don't want you hurt by a person who doesn't care about anyone but himself." He said. "I can never be mad at you sweetie. He holds me close. I can hear his breathing in my ear. I felt a shiver, small, but effective, run down my spine. "(Y/n)... I.... Thank you for being my friend.... I want...."

Cliffhanger :D
