Prologue

Fang Lyons felt the air bellowing through his brown hair as his fingers scramble to grab the hook hanging from the side of his pack. The lush, green ground was coming closer fast, too fast, but he could still hear the maniacal laughter from his left. Fang growled at William as he grabbed the hook and yanked at it, a black cloth emerges from his pack, catching the wind and yanking Fang backwards. Fang coughed as his hands travel to his rib cage to check for damage, "Onii-chan..." A small voice says from his right. Fang mutters something incoherently as his feet touch the ground. He throws his pack and runs along the green field, he is about to reach the less than inviting jungle at the end of the field when he glances at the ground noticing a large shadow getting larger by the second coming towards him. He twists his body towards the beach just in time to see his sister, Scorpio Lyons, Air-tackle him. "Ugh..." Fang groans as he slowly opens his eyes, and shoves Scorpio off of him "Get off, you're heavy." He mutters. Fang starts to sit up before he is pushed down by another person, this time it's Ren Yukimura, "I-I'm s-s-sorry..." She says in a squeaky voice, "It's okay," Fang said "But could you get off of me?" He asks with a light voice. Ren felt a deep crimson creeping up her cheeks as she scrambles to get off of him. Scorpio leans over Fang "Are you okay?" She asks, "Ya" Fang says as he pushes himself into an upright position. Fang felt Scorpio rest her chin on his head and wrap her arms around his neck, he glances at William as he stumbles and falls on his face, both Fang and Scorpio burst into laughter as William stands up, spits the dirt out of his mouth and scowls. "WHERE'S THE LOOT?" William shouts at nothing.

After a few hours on the island everyone but Fang Lyons, William Wendlock, Scorpio Lyons, Raven Wendlock, Jay Yukimura, and Ren Yukimura, had decided to leave the island. Fang had already set up a camp for everyone and had started cooking some dead lizards and shellfish he had gotten from the river nearby, he had gone to serve dinner but he heard arguing coming from the Yukimura's tent. "Why'd we come to this island, we both know that there are murderers here." Fang gasped but still didn't make a move, "Ya but I wanted to impress him with my knowledge maybe you shouldn't have suggested here, even if it was a joke." Fang pondered for a moment as to who this him was. Fang started to leave but was stopped by Ren as she came out of the tent, "H-hey Fa-Fang" Fang turns around "Ya" She plays with her hands "U-um did you hear me and Jay?" Fang smiled "No" His face shifting to a confused face "I heard yelling so I decided you and Jay could wait to be feed until you were finished." Ren laughs lightly, and Fang smiles at her, they didn't realize that there was someone watching them from the woods. Fang twists his body around throwing a knife at a tree, then looks around confused, "Could've sworn there was someone there..." He muttered, the figure clutched its chest and looked down at Fang, "Nobody has made my heart beat this fast, who are you?" The figure questioned in a whisper. "FANG" Ren yelled running over "What's wrong" Fang shook his head "It's nothing" He said "Fang, huh" The figure smiled under its hood. It didn't matter who it had been. He had ruined it all and now it would ruin him. It knew what he wanted what he'd had what he would achieve and it would stop him.

Scorpio crawls out of her tent and latches onto Fangs back "Hey Sis" He says smiling and walking towards the Wendlock tent, as he reached the tent a drunken William stumbles out of the tent with an annoyed looking Raven following behind. "I WILL CONQUER THE SEAS!" William shouted into the air, "Whoa, calm down there Will" Fang said announcing himself to the Wendlock siblings. Raven looks at Fang letting her gaze linger before Scorpio glares at her, she looks away to hide her embarrassment, Fang looks at her curiously and Scorpio shakes her head. Raven regains her posture "Does anyone know how he got three barrels of Rum into the camp without anyone noticing him bring them in?" Raven asks gesturing to three previously unnoticed barrels, Fang grins "He didn't... I brought them for him." Fang said bursting into laughter at the end of his sentence. "LET'S EAT!" William shouts, slightly sober, but still very drunk, he empties the contents of the bowl into his mouth. "Seconds" William says, Fang sighs as he stands up and fills Williams bowl with the golden broth and lizard bits that were cooked to perfection, Fang sits down in between Ren and Raven and begins to eat the contents of his bowl in tiny spoonfuls, Ren and Raven had already finished their food and were now arguing about some girly things, Scorpio sits next to William and starts chatting, but he seems to engrossed in his food to notice her. The figure smirks as it watches the scene before it, it makes its way to the Yukimura tent. "Well I'm gonna call it a night." Fang announced standing and stretching, everyone bid him a good night's sleep and he made his way to his tent, he trips on something and lands in a pool of liquid, he stands up and looks at the red liquid glistening on his body as the sun set.
