I didn't know what I was doing.

I just saw that cell door open and started running.

Lucky for me, the security on my cell wasn't on, so I could run as much as I wanted and not get caught. That was just what I needed.

I was breathing heavy as I made my way through the hallways. I thanked my memory for recognizing which hallways I had gone down while being escorted here.

I knew that if I took a wrong turn, I would get caught. I was careful not to let anybody see me, hiding out in empty cubicles whenever I got the chance. Nobody noticed until...

Alarms blared overhead. I swore under my breath and willed my legs to go faster. It hurt to go so fast with my weak body, but I knew that there was no choice if I had any hopes of getting out of here.

L (assuming that I had remembered her name right) was the one who had spotted me. She had a fob in her hand, which I assumed had set off the alarm. She was one of those tech geniuses from around here, so it was only natural that she would have a key fob to set off the alarm system.

Not.

I continued running, ignoring everything that she was yelling after me as she pursued me through hallways of nothing but expensive gray substances. I eventually lost L, as she had taken one of the turns that led to M and N's office. I took this as a blessing and continued to run.

More officers, such as D, T, J, and F began to chase me, and it was at that moment that I realized how much I had messed up. Despite this, I continued to run, not caring that I was bound to get caught.

I felt something sharp pierce my arm in the upper section. I cried out in pain and realized what it was: a dart, most likely with some sort of tranquilizer dart hidden inside of it. I ripped the dart from my arm and dropped it, letting it clang to the floor.

The odds were in my favor, thankfully. J tripped on the dart and went sprawling onto the ground. I cheered, though the celebration didn't last long. My eyelids were growing heavy, as if some invisible force was pulling them downwards. I pinched my arm to keep myself awake.

The alertness that came from the pinch didn't last long. I growled under my breath and continued to run. My body was screaming at me to stop and rest, but my brain fought back, saying that running was the only way.

I was panting at an insanely quick rate by the time that the outline of a door was in sight. I willed myself to go just a little bit faster and keep moving. I pinched my temple and bit my lip as hard as I could.

Thank goodness. I was much more alert and awake after doing that, so I continued to look for ways that I could keep myself from passing out. I reared a leg back and kicked the door open.

It flew open with much ease, so I sighed in relief. The relief didn't last long, as while I was out of obstacles in front of me, the obstacles behind me were still there.

D, F, and T were the ones I had to lose. I rounded a tree nearby (since Interpol was near this forest area) and let T slam into it. She grunted and fell to the ground limply. She was still awake and alive, so I knew that I didn't have to add 'murderer' to my list of qualifications when applying for college.

I rounded another tree and jumped up. I grabbed onto a branch, hoping that I would be able to vault my way up to the tree so that I could hide amidst its leaves and branches. Sadly, the branch snapped as soon as I tested it.

I fell to the ground and forced myself to my feet. I had a deep gash down my lower leg from the stick, which had sliced it open. I pushed my legs to keep running, not wanting to stop. I was afraid of what would happen if I did.

Thank goodness for the fact that F tripped on the stick and fell down. I smiled over my shoulder, proud that I had managed to do something like that. Now I only had to deal with D.

There was a tree ahead of me that had strong branches, so I made a run for it and climbed the tree. I clambered to the top and hid inside the leaves. I bit my lip to keep from panting. The sound would give me away instantly.

D looked around, not knowing where I had gone. She stayed there for about two minutes. I thought I would pass out from air loss. My head was starting to pound and my vision starting to spin by the time that she finally walked away.

I sighed in relief and jumped down. I continued to sprint, though I knew that I didn't have the energy to keep it up for much longer. A house came into view. It was abandoned, as far as I could tell. The color was an ugly pastel yellow and the curtains were dark and ripped.

My leg gave way from beneath me, so I collapsed. I heard a faint gasp come from somebody above me. I figured that they had come out of the house. I guess it wasn't as abandoned as I thought...

"I-I remember you!" The voice belonged to a girl. It was somewhat familiar...

I didn't have time to dwell on it, for my senses left me as I blacked out.
