It was probably stupid to walk outside in the dark alone. But being a super hero and all, thieves or psycho killers were the least of Blossom's worries. She was more concerned about the fact that she was just in her pajamas, and that she decided to go outside after a nice bath.

But she could always take another one.

The redhead walked aimlessly around the park. No place in mind particularly, just somewhere to get away. She was so distracted that not even the cool breeze fazed her. Though it probably wouldn't bother her anyway. Thanks to her ice breathe she was unaffected by cold weather, she couldn't get hot either.

Dazed she didn't even realize she walked past the same tree for the third time. "You keep walking in circles like that you'll wear a hole in those bunny slippers of yours," was whispered in her ear.

Blossom jolted at the familiar voice. She whirled around and threw a punch, but by then the person jumped back in time. She saw her red capped counterpart.

He held his stomach as he laughed, obvious amusement in his eyes. "You look nice in PJ's, Pinky."

The pink puff narrowed her eyes and let out an irritated huff. She was in no mood to deal with his teasing and she made sure to voice that.

"I don't feel like dealing with you." She turned to keep walking aimlessly, mostly to get away from him. She dreaded the outcome of this unexpected meeting, knowing well where this was headed needing to get away. She felt like a coward in that moment.

The sound of grass crunching alerted her that he was following her. "Go away,"she called over her shoulder.

"Can't, got nothing else to do." Brick stuffed his hands in his pockets. He stared at her swaying orange hair, a more darker orange than usual.

"Doesn't give you an excuse to bother me." She sat down on a nearby park bench, not paying him any attention. He wordlessly sat next to her, hands still shoved in his pockets.

"'S pretty night," he said. Blossom looked at him to find his gaze set on the stars.

"Yeah." She turned away, afraid to meet his gaze, afraid to feel. She faintly wondered how all this happened. When did they end up in this position? And why? Who fueled the fire?

"Hey," she started. He turned his gaze from the stars to her. "How did we end up here?"

Brick shrugged his shoulders. "Wanted the company I guess."

"I didn't ask for any company."

"I did."

She faced him again and immediately regret it. He was looking at her too. It always got deep when they looked into each others eyes, and she wasn't sure she could deal with so many emotions at the moment. But neither could break eye contact.

"I'm gonna ask you a question. Promise you won't hate me?"

"More than I already do?" The look he gave her said he was serious.

She waited awhile for him to ask. He seemed... hesitant. So un-Brick.

"Do you think... we'll ever be the same?" They were still making eye contact when she forcefully shut her eyes in dread, sorrow, and... pain.

This wasn't right. She didn't plan for this to happen. Why were their so many unspoken words between them? When did this start?

Something told her this was gonna happen. That eventually one of them were going to bring up the past. She just chose to ignore it.

Maybe she should get away. But she's been running away from her problems a lot lately.

She let out an exhausted sigh. "That's dead and gone, Brick."

She missed the brief hurt in his eyes. "Do you at least miss me?"

"I should go-" she moved to get off the bench when he put his hand on top of hers.

"What's your favorite color?"

The change of topic, so abrupt and bizarre, caught the pink puff off guard. "What?"

"What's your favorite color?" He said unyielding. She wondered if he was joking,  but his set jaw and determined eyes told her otherwise.

"...Red." She stared at him curiously. "You?"

Suddenly he was aware of the consistent color that surrounded them. The color of her pajamas, the pavement, her skin, the street lights, even the very stars that guided him to her, that started all this. All if which that very same color-

"White..."
