After my first four classes, it was lunch. All the classes did were introduction games, introducing everyone to each other, even though I was the only new one. Geography was pretty interesting, it was talking of places that didn't even seem to exist.
When I got to the lunchroom, it seemed to take my breath away all over again. The glass dome seemed even more transparent than before. The line took forever.
While I was in the line, I couldn't stop thinking about those fairies. Their makeup had been peculiar. Their eyeliner had a wing which curled into a spiral. Their eyeshadow had been the same color as their hair, but it faded upwards into white, like the one with red hair had red eyeshadow; the green had green eyeshadow, but the white haired one had baby blue eyeshadow that faded into white. Each eye was sparkly.
Their clothes were even weirder. They weren't wearing school uniform. None of the fairies/pixies were wearing school uniform. The white haired one was wearing baby blue dress that went to her knees, it was strapless and covered in sparkles. The green haired one had a light green dress. The sleeves were translucent with a few sparkles here and there. The red haired one had a half shirt, exposing her stomach, and a long skirt that went to her ankles.
"Excuse me!" A female's voice snapped me out of my flashback, her voice was quite harsh, "Can you move, please?"
"Oh ya, sure," I looked forward and the girl in front of me in line was five feet ahead. I moved up and turned around. I was met face to face with a beautiful girl with a perfect face. A feeling overwhelmed me, like I shouldn't even be standing in her presence. Her hair was dyed dark purple, almost black, it came to her waist. Her cheeks had a few freckles on them, and her eyes looked like a dark purple maybe?
Her beauty made me feel like a moth compared to a butterfly, and I was the moth. I felt worthless and ugly. I quickly glanced around. All boys within 15 feet of her were all drooling and staring. I turned around and took a step forward.
I kept wiping the corners of my mouth, as if I thought there was food there; that if there was food there, if would make me a laughing stock.
I went to press the same buttons Victoria did, but they weren't the same. I panicked, and ended up pressing random buttons with random lettering I didn't understand.
I inserted the plate into the machine and the plate came out the side. On the plate was an odd fruit-like thing that resembled a kiwi. It would be a kiwi, but it was bigger, and the top of it had a few branches coming off of the top with purple berries on the end.
I grabbed the plate and walked to the table where Victoria's table was, they weren't there. Instead, there were a few goofy looking boys, staring at every girl that past them.
"Bekah! Over here!" I heard Victoria yell, waving frantically on the other side of the cafeteria. I started walking over to them, the feeling that I felt worthless subsided, as if I only felt that way around that girl with purple hair. I sat at the table, everyone from my dream was sitting at the table, except their was one other girl.
"Let's see, Victoria, David, Bea, Zachary, and," I paused and turned to the other girl, "I don't know you."
"I'm Angelica," the girl said, obviously lying, but I didn't want to get into an argument. She had long blonde hair, a slim body, and blue eyes.
"Rebekah," I said.
"How'd you know our names?" Beatrice asked, in astonishment.
"I know right! She's like a psychic or something," Victoria added.
I didn't feel like a psychic, although I did feel like I was having some major déjà vu.
