Your POV

It was already getting dark and I was in the Car with Mattie and Kumajiro. We're heading to the Star Gazing place that Mattie was talking about, and I looked up from the Car window I could already see so much stars, it was beautiful. Once we got there he set up his telescope and a picnic blanket on the ground with a basket that contained food. I sat down and looked up the Dark sky that dotted itself with the most gorgeous stars.

"The stars are beautiful Matthew..." I said in awe as I gazed at the wonderful array of stars all scattered around the dark night.

"It really is.." he responded, also looking at the stars.

I glanced at the scenery of the forests from below, the forest had a beautiful orange tint that signifies the coming of Winter. Everything was beautiful, the scenery , the stars , and specialy Matthew. I gave him a quick glance and he was still looking at the stars, his soft blonde hair framed his face and his curl stuck out. He probably noticed that I was looking and looked in my direction and I just looked back up to the stars as quick as I can.

"But you know (Y/n)....These stars aren't as beautiful as your heart..." he said hesitantly with a blush that spread across his cheeks. When I heard those words I just blushed too. Oh no, how do I respond to compliments?

"I...uh.. thanks.." I said avoiding his gaze. Kuma took out a pancake from the basket and started eating it, it was odd because the bear was staying oddly quiet. Was he quiet because he thought that Matthew will confess soon?.... now that I think about it he might. Maybe I should too it was the perfect moment, the beautiful stars, the scenery, the quietness. Maybe I should confess!

"Hey..(Y/n).. can I tell you s-something.." he said looking at me this time I made eye contact. Is he gonna confess now?

"S-sure.. what is it? " I said yearning for the words he's gonna say next. 'Oh please confess... Please confess..' I thought.

"Y-you see... I-I.. I just want to... I..." He admitted and gave a sight, he took a deep breathe and I just kept waiting for his next words.

Then I heard ringing, it was a phone but it didn't sound like my ring tone it was probably Matthews. He gave a sight and took out the phone from his pocket and answered the caller.

"Who is this?" He asked, I can tell his face is pretty passed off.

"Oui! Matthieu! It's me France!" I heard France say, his voice was so loud that I could still hear it even if Matthews phone wasn't set to speaker.

"Call me later France. I'm with (Y/n) so please." Mattie said frustrated and annoyed.

"But Matthieu this is important!" He said.

"(Y/n) can you excuse me for a while?" Matthew said, and I just nodded. 'Way to ruin the mood country of love. ' I thought in my mind. Matthew stood up from the picnic blanket and went a bit far away to talk to France.

I gave a huge sight and I just face palmed myself.

"Why did you have to ruin it France your the country of love for fluffs sake..." I muttered quietly ,but Kuma seemed to notice this.

"You can still confess when he gets back." Kuma suggested.

"It wouldn't be that special anymore.. you know I want it to be perfect since this is Mattie were talking about, he deserves perfection." I said in response and the bear just gave a sight and continued eating his pancakes.

Canada's POV

"France why the hell are you calling at this time!" I said frustrated .

"I just wanted to ask you how it's going with (Y/n)." France said.

"It was going fine until you called! I was going to confess!" I said irritated.

"Oh I'm so sorry Matthieu! But you do know I always call at this time oui?" Francis said trying to save his sorry little ass.

"But.. gahh! !!" I said the irritation burning through my body. Why? Why? Why? Why?

"Done worry Matthieu! I have a plan, I promise I'll make it up to you!" Francis said apologizing.

"What kind of plan?" I asked.

"Okay listen up....." and then he explained an incredibly long and complicated plan.

I think Matthew talked to France for at least 30 minutes. Come on France? Your the country of love and you just ruined a confession. I don't know what their talking about but whatever it is, it sure is important to require a conversation that long.

"I'm really Sorry for leaving you here this long Maple." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"It's alright, I had Kuma here with me." I said patting Kuma's head.

"Still I'm really sorry.." he said then he sat down with me on the Picnic blanket again.

"Hey what were you going to say when you left?" I said bringing up the topic again.

"I.. I.. just.. wanted t-to say.... Thank you!" He said after a long pause in between words, I gave a sight and just smiled at him.

"Why would you say thank you?" I asked.

"Because... (Y/n). You've honestly made such a difference in my life you know... You made my life a bit more livelier. Thanks for being my best friend." He said.

"No problem I guess.. I'll always be your best friend you can always count on me Mattie. Especially when you need help I'll help you." I said with a smile.

"Thanks." He said with a blush on his cheeks.
