Thirteen year old Minka Jackson has wolf blood coursing through her veins. She doesn't even learn about it until she is about to go back to school when her long lost brother, Rafe, appears in the woods and warns her of the full moon. He had left her, alone in the woods, when she was five after their parents mysteriously disappeared. Rafe looks almost exactly the same as the last time Minka saw him, other than a few wolf-ish features, and he claims to have wolf blood in him, but that he was not a 'werewolf'.
Minka is also a 'silver wolf' (I don't have much figured out about what that means yet, sorry).

The wolf shot through the woods, paws lightly hitting the ground. It glanced around to make sure it wasn't being followed. It's light fur seemed to glow as the moonlight pierced through the thick canopy of the forest and hit its back. The wild creature yipped happily at being able to run freely in the vacant area as small animals scurried out of its way. It was free to do as it wished once more. Free to run and play; things it was rarely able to do. The animal was always "protected", making it feel as if it were constantly caged. But, every now and then, the beast would escape and, if only for a minute, do what it was made for. Running.
The wolf stumbled upon a clearing with a small pond. Its face stretched into a wolfy grin as it stepped towards the pool. It quietly lapped some water from the pond before slowly stepping into the cool water. The clear fresh water was a delicacy to the wolf and the feel of it on the wolf's fur soothed the animal. The moon hit the surface of the pond, illuminating the creature. Its silver fur gleamed from the bright light of the full moon as the beast stood in the shallow water and its vibrant emerald green eyes seemed to glow brighter. As it looked down at its reflection in the clear, running water, it could almost see the human behind the beast.

So, this is just something that I quickly thought to put down as a prologue to this. The actual beginning to this wasn't very good, so I felt the need to include something more interesting and picturesque to introduce it a bit better because what I really have written down is something about a sleepover. But, this gives a look into the silver wolf thing, even though I don't have much figured out about that topic. This didn't even have a title, but I had remembered that I was thinking about the main character being a silver wolf. Please give this a chance, even though I know it isn't the best at the beginning. I need to make a lot of adjustments to what I have written out already. Also, this is really short because I just thought of this now and thought it sounded better than the actual beginning. I am rambling now, and if you are reading this whole thing, congratulations. I doubt many people will even look at this, but, if so, I hope you like it. This is different than a lot of werewolf stories I've read so I figured I would try to see people's reactions. Thanks for reading this.
