One Month

1 month. 1 month since Flowey appeared and took our souls.  1 month since he returned as Asriel. 1 month since Frisk defeated him and saved us all, as well as broke the barrier. 1 month since the Underground went empty. And 1 month since I met her.

Toriel. The once-queen of the Underground, the lady I shared jokes with behind the door to the Ruins. A lot has happened since Frisk and Asriel broke the barrier. Frisk managed to save Asriel, much to the delight of Tori and Asgore. The small child of mercy tried to get the royal couple together again, but no success occurred. Since Asgore has had so much to do involving humans, the two decided that Frisk and Asriel would live with Toriel until things settled down, after which custody would have to be dealt with.

Together, we had all built a small neighborhood. Papyrus and I are neighbors with Tori, and the others close by. At first, I was reluctant to get attached. But Frisk made it clear no more Resets would occur. I'm doing a lot better now.

And yet, something's been nagging at my skull. I haven't been able to think straight. Now it isn't from the fear of resets or... Dad, but someone else. I feel weird when Tori is around. I get butterflies in my ribs. Whatever. Frisk is coming over today, that'll take my mind off of this.

*Knock knock*

I got up and walked to the door. I already knew who it was, but it's become a tradition of sorts. "who's there?" I said.

"Ust."

I grinned in anticipation. "ust-who?"
The door opened, revealing Frisk and Toriel on the other side. "You know it!" She said, followed by a groan of frustration upstairs. We both chuckled, before looking back at each other. There's that feeling again. I didn't notice right then, but Frisk took on a look of realization. Tori wasn't in the same boat however. "Frisk has to be back by dinner, so make sure they don't spoil their appetite. But if they get hungry, don't be afraid to give them a snack." She kept going, but I had zoned out by then. She was so pretty, I couldn't help but feel my skull heating up a bit. I noticed she stopped talking, snapping me back into reality. "don't worry, t. i 'goat' this." More laughter from a her, a loud 'SANS!' from Papyrus upstairs. "Very well Sans, I shall see you later." She smiled, closing the door behind her. Frisk almost immediately set to business.

They grabbed my hand, dragging me upstairs. They pulled out my room key which they had somehow obtained, and sat themselves and I on my mattress, before running over to the door, shutting it, and returning to their spot. "Sans, I think I know what's going on." Frisk impatiently said. I tilted my head in confusion. "then fill me in kid, 'cause i sure don't." They sighed, replying, "I should've known this would be the case. Sans, I think you like Goat-Mom." Now my skull was really heating up. DO I like Toriel? I mean yeah, she is pretty. And she's one of the nicest monsters I've ever met. All of a sudden, Frisk cut into my train of thought, saying, "Remember when Mom was talking? You got all entranced-looking and stuff."
I had to agree. I remember how enamored I was with Tori's appearance. "well kiddo, i guess you could say she's really-"

Papyrus burst into the room. "SANS. I SWEAR TO GOD, IF YOU SAY 'GOT MY GOAT', I WILL-" He stopped suddenly, noticing Frisk's surprisingly angered expression. "UM, SANS? WHAT IS INFURIATING THE HUMAN? AND WHY IS YOUR FACE TURNING BLUE? ARE YOU... BLUSHING, BROTHER?" Frisk, slightly calmer, briefed Papyrus on my now-realized position. "OH. MY. GOD. SANS! THIS IS QUITE SURPRISING TO SAY THE LEAST! DO YOU REQUIRE ME TO LEAVE FOR UNDYNE'S HOME TO GRANT YOU PRIVACY?" Surprisingly, I nodded. "VERY WELL, BROTHER. FRISK, I ASK YOU TO TAKE CARE OF SANS FOR ME WHILE I AM AWAY, ALRIGHT?" Thumbs up from the kid. "THANK YOU." Papyrus walked out of the room, closing the door behind himself.
