"Hello?"
"Hello, is Melody Obrin available?" A soft spoken voice asked. I laid my back onto my soft bed. Half of the blanket on one leg and the other bare. The only comforting way.
"Yes. This is her." I bit the inside of my cheek wondering what this call could be about. Maybe a new job? An appointment to be made?
"I'm calling from NGU Inc. We have an opening and the résumé you had sent to Mr. Ngu had approved, and he'd like to schedule a meeting with you."
OH MY GOD!
"Yes and when may this meeting be se-" I was just about to finish when the person on the other end interrupted. Is it just me who has that as a pet peeve? When someone interrupts you that is.
"Will five o'clock today be fine?" She said sweetly.
"Yea." I sighed and threw my hands up in frustration.
Then she hung up. "This dude." I mumbled as I got off my bed. I was pretty excited about this job but this lady ruined by being somewhat rude.
It was already one p.m., so that'll be enough time for me to get ready. I walked to my bedroom and picked out an outfit to wear. I decided on a white blouse and a light pink pencil skirt with nude heels. I sat in front of my mirror and simply tied up my dark brown black, pin straight hair into a pony tail. I added diamond earrings and cutler my lashes. Applied some mascara and went for a natural look.
By the time I finished getting ready, I was hungry.
I sighed.
I walked into my kitchen and found a granola bar.
"Shit. Shit. Shit." I sang, as I checked the time, 3:22 p.m. and it takes me at least 45 minutes to get to the city. I don't like being late.
I quickly grabbed my purse and stuffed my phone, chapstick, charger, and whatever was essential in there. I ran to my door and grabbed my keys, locking the door. I rushed to my car and started the engine.

I walked into the huge glass building in front of me. I saw the front desk and immediately ran towards it.
I exhaled deeply and asked the young man, "Hello, I'm here for a, uh, meeting with Mr. Ngu at 5." I stuttered just a tiny bit.
The young man smiled, "please wait a minute." I nodded.
He typed away on his computer searching for my name and appointment possibly. "May I ask what your name is?" Asked Alex.
"Oh, Melody, Melody Lana."
"Alright. It'll be another minute please" He let an awkward smile.
"No, it's fine." I waved it off. After waiting for what seemed forever, "Alright, um, just take the elevator to the top floor and there will be two doors. Take the door on the right and he'll be in there." He instructed.
"Okay, thank you so much!" I waved and walked towards the elevator. I pressed on the button to the top floor, 35.
Once I reached the 24th floor the elevator paused. The doors opened. I looked up to see gorgeous hazel eyes. Once the door fully opened, came a man about my age. He stepped in and smiled as I returned the friendly smile.
"What's your name?" The man asked. Weird. Why would he ask for my name... the f.
"Melody. Yours?" Asking politely because why should he know my name if I don't know his.
"What a lovely name for a beautiful girl." I grinned at that cheesy comment.
Yea okay thanks... "Thanks." I shook my head as the elevator dinged and we arrived at the top floor. We both got out. Before I even made the first step to Mr. Andrews door
