Our story takes place somewhere far away, in the distant Freezing Sea. In the middle of it is Cold Island, a secret place filled with mystery and magic. This haven is completely covered in ice and snow, and is in the shape of a giant, elegant snowflake. The island is split into seven different sections: the Beach of Snow, the Desert of Ice, the Glacier Mountains, the Frosted Grasslands, the Pine Forest, the Tundra Valley, and Polar City, which is the heart of the island. There are also five large and icy lakes surrounding the city, with freezing but fresh waters. The only creatures that can survive in its icy waters are the Frigidfish, large sea creatures with thick, silver scales and sharp spikes on their spines.

Polar City is a large and beautiful settlement with many small but friendly villages made of white, snowy igloos or blue and solid ice houses. The city is protected by a thick wall of enormous pine trees, called the Evergreens. A light snow flurry constantly drifts softly down from the clouded sky, the pure white snowflakes forming snowdrifts everywhere. The air smells of fresh pine, ice, and hot cocoa, for it's a common and celebrated drink on the island. Hot cocoa is brought out for almost every occasion, and is varied with many different treats like sugar cookies and candy canes.

The houses are magical too, for they never, ever, melt, even from the fireplaces. Commoners live in the snow igloos, which aren't half bad. They are large enough to fit a family of five, and are equipped with homey needs: a wooden pine door, wooded pine windows, and even an icy chimney! The more advanced citizens, also known as Nobles, live in the ice houses. They are very intricate and beautiful, with carved decor, windows, and a special icy door. These houses have two floors, and can hold up to ten people! However, the Nobles treat the Commoners like friends and equals, celebrating with them and helping the community as well.

The people of Polar City are very friendly and peaceful people, who normally wish to avoid conflict. The citizens are a wide variety of amazing creatures, such as regular humans, the Bear People, who are people with bear paws and ears, and the Long-Eared People, who are people with short fluffy tails and long fuzzy ears, They live in peace and harmony, helping each other like one large but distant family. They have very sincere customs, such as celebrating birth, mourning death, partying at weddings, and grieving at funerals. They pray to their Goddess, a very beautiful and divine woman who they believe created their island.

There are also many fantastic creatures that have made their home on Cold Island. Some of them are normal, such as the adorable little Snow Hares, the gliding, silent Snow Owls, and the quick but graceful White-Tailed Deer. The magical beings consist of the serene and enchanting Snow Angels, the terrifying but rare Yetis, and the valiant but selfish Ice Dragons. These beings are scattered across the island, living without conflict in their own habitats.

Now, our story begins with a little girl named Winter, who is one of the Bear People. She lives with her mother and older sister on the outskirts of Polar City, in a small but cozy igloo house. She works with her family as a Marshmallow farmer, and lives a relatively quiet and peaceful life on Cold Island. But when a mysterious tragedy strikes their homeland, Winter, with the help of a few new friends, will go on an epic adventure across Cold Island to save the future of the magic! Now, let the story begin!
