and I sit, listening to the sounds of cars passing by due to the widow to my biology class room being open. hearing nothing but words I will never remember nor need in my life being pelted at me like darts, but missing by a long shot.

my eyes wander the room and peer at fellow classmates. this is the first in awhile it's been this way, calm, no one is trying  to kill us and there is no full moon anytime soon so I would think we are in the clear.

the bell rang out of nowhere and startled few, but not many. we were dismissed for the day.

I walked out of the classroom and passed by the main office. the clear plexiglass windows  showed a tall, tan girl with approving parents by her side.  she seems like a good one for the school that desperately needs those like her.

I carried on.
