My One Direction Story

It Was Just An Ordinary Summer Afternoon. The Kind You Spend On Your Bed Wishing You Were Doing Something Fun With Friends. It Was Pretty Boring Until I Got That One Phone Call That Changed My Life Forever.
I Remember My Phone Ringing And It Was Coming From An Unknown Caller.
"Hello" I Said Waiting For The Caller To Speak.
"Um Is This Jennifer?" Asked A Deep Voice.
"Yes, Who's This?"
"Am I On Speaker"
"No, Who Is This?" I Asked Wanting To Know Who The Familiar Voice Was. Seconds Went By Full Of Silence.
"I Said Who Is This?"
"I'm... Harry Styles, You Know... From One Direction."
I Laughed Thinking It Was A Joke.
"Um.. Im Here With The Rest On The Lads Near Your House And We Could Use Your Help."
I Looked Out My Window Knowing In The Back Of My Mind That This Could Never Happen. But To My Surprise There Were Five Figures Standing Far Into The Distance. I Was Shocked, But Yet I Wasn't Sure To Believe It. How Could One Direction Find The Small Town That I Lived In? And Even If They Did, Why Would They Need My Help?
"Jennifer, We Really Need Your Help."
I Was Trying Hard To Plan What I Was Going To Say Next.
"I Don't Believe You." I Told Him
I Looked Out The Window And I Noticed They Were Getting Closer. I Started To Get Nervous, So Nervous That I Accidentally Hung Up My Phone. I Looked Down And I Saw That I Hung Up. I Looked Out Of My Window Once Again And They Were Close Enough For Me To Tell That It Really Was Them!
I Ran To My Mom.
"Mom, Mom!" I Screamed As I Ran To The Kitchen.
"One Direction Is Coming, They Are Right Outside!"
I Said It So Fast That By The Time I Said It Again So My Mom Could Actually Understand, The Doorbell Ring.
"Oh My Gosh Mom It's Them!"
I Ran Back To My Room To Fix Myself Up. Who Wants The Hottest Band To See Them Looking Their Worst? Definitely Not Me. My Heart Was Racing So Fast. I Felt It Jumping Out Of My Chest.
I Put On Some Mascara And Eyeliner And I Put On My Favorite Summer Dress. I Heard My Mom Open The Door And Ask Them Who They Were Which Was Funny Because She Knows. I Show Her Them So Much That She Knows Each Of Their Names. Like Always She Started Telling Them Embarrassing Things. She Told Them How I Sing To Their Posters And I Knew I Had To Stop Her Before She Spilled Anything Else. I Ran To The Door And Introduced Myself.
"Hey I'm Jennifer" I Said With A Shaky Voice.
"Hello Jennifer We Are One Direction But From Your Mom Has Told Us We Don't Need To Introduce Ourselves." Said Harry With A Little Chuckle.
I Stood There Speechless And Starstuck. They Looked Even Better In Person Which I Didn't Think Was Possible.
"Well Yeah We Could Really Use Your Help." Said Liam
"Oh Of Course. Come In." Said My Mom As She Motioned Them To Come Inside.
"Wow, You Guys Have A Nice House." Said Niall While The Boys Look All Around.
"Thank You." Said My Mom As She Show Them To The Living Room.
I Followed Behind Them Trying To Regulate My Heartbeat. I Could Feel My Face Getting Red Which Always Happens When I'm Nervous. The Boys All Sat In The Same Couch Which Fit Them Perfectly.
"Do You Guys Want Something To Drink Or Eat?" Asked My Mom.
"No Thank You." Said Harry And Liam
"No Thanks." Said Zayn And Naill
"No We Are Fine, Thank You Though." Said Louis
"Ok So How Can We Help You Boys?" Asked My Mom
"Well, We Were On Our Way To Orlando, Florida But Our Car Broke Down Nearby. We Saw Your House And Thought You Guys Could Possible Have Room For Us, So We Searched Your Address And Your Profile Came Up. We Saw Your Number And Decided To Call. We Just Thought We Could Stay Here For A While Until We Could Get Another Car." Said Liam
"We Have Our Luggages In The Car But We Just Thought People Would Get A Little Suspicious If They Saw Five Guys With Huge Luggages Walking Down The Street." Said Zayn
They All Laughed And I Couldn't Help But Smile. I Noticed That Louis Kept Looking At Me. I Got Even More Nervous Because Of That.
"Well My Husband Is At Work But Jennifer Can Call Him And Ask If He Is Alright With You Guys Staying." Said My Mom
I Got My Phone Out.
"Ok Let Me Call Him Right Now." I Said As I Walked Away From The Living Room. I Dial My Dad's Number And He Soon Answered It.
"Jennifer, Is Everything Ok?" He Asked
"Yes Its Just That Um... One Direction Is Asking If They Could Stay For A Couple Of Nights."
"What?"
"One Direction, The Band I Like." I Answered
"Jennifer Im Working Right Now, I Don't Have Time For These Games."
"But Dad I'm Serious." I Said
"Ok Jennifer Yeah, Sure." He Said As He Hung Up. I Guess He Thought It Was A Joke But I Took His 'Yeah Sure' As A Yes. As I Was Walking Back To The Living Room I Heard My Mom Telling The Boys That Louis Was My Favorite One Of All Of Them. The Boys Laughed And Told Her That He Broke Up With His Girlfriend About Three Weeks Ago. I Took A Deep Breath And Walked Into The Room.
"He Said Yes." I Said With A Little Smile.
"Ok Then Yes, You Guys Can Stay." My Mom Said
"Thank You So Much." Said Niall
"Yes We Can't Thank You Enough." Said Liam
"Alright Then Jennifer Can You Show Them Were They Will Be Staying?" My Mom Asked As She a Walked To Her Office. My Mom Is Always Busy With Paperwork.
"Um Sure." I Said As I Looked At All Of Them. Them All Stood Up And Towered Over Me. I Walked Them To My Older Sister's Room. She Moved Out When She Got Married So That Room Is Now A Guest Room. I Walked Into The Room And In Followed The Boys.
"Nice." Said Harry
"It's My Sister's Old Room." I Said. Harry, Liam, and Niall Sat On The Bed While Louis And Zayn Stayed Standing Beside Me.
"So How Old Are You Jennifer." Asked Harry
"I'm 18." I Answered.
"Cool, Did You Just Turn 18." Asked Zayn
"Yeah My Birthday Is Actually The Same As Louis's." I Said While Looking At Him. He Smiled At Me And I Smiled Back.
"That's Why You Like Him So Much." Said Harry
I Stood There Not Knowing What To Say.
"Harry, Can't You See That You Are Making Her Nervous." Said Niall.
"He Is Just Sad That You Don't Like Him More." Said Liam.
"I'm Not Sad Just Surprised. This Doesn't Happen Very Often." Harry Said While Smiling At Me.
"Ok Lads, Let's Talk About Something Else." Said Zayn. Everything Was Quite For A While Until Niall Broke The Silence.
"How Has Your Summer Been So Far?" Niall Asked To Me
"Um.. Ok I Guess." I Said
My Mom Called Me To Wash Some Dishes.
"I'll Be Right Back." I Said While Leaving The Room.
As I Was Washing The Dishes I Was Trying To Wrap My Head Around The Boys Staying At My House. I Was Asking Myself If I Imaged The Boys Being Here. I Was Thinking That I Might Have Been Dreaming This Whole Time. Before I Could Pinch Myself I Heard Someone Walk Behind Me.
"Do You Need Any Help?"
I Turned Around And Standing In Front Of Me Was Louis. I Accidentally Dropped A Plastic Cup Because I Got So Nervous. We Both Reached Down To Get The Cup And Our Hands Touched. I Pulled Back My Hand As I Stood Up. He Stood Up After Me With The Cup In His Hand.
"I Think You Dropped This." He Said With A Smile On His Face.
"Thank You." I Said As I Took The Cup And Put It Where It Belongs.
"The Lads Told Me To Tell You If You And Your Parents Could Please Keep Us Staying At Your House A Secret. We Don't Want Cameras And Fans To Swarm Your House."
"Oh, Of Course." I Said
"Thanks, We Really Appreciate Everything You And Your Parents Are Doing For Us." He Said.
"No Problem." I Said. He Stood There Looking At Me.
"Do You Need Anything?" I Asked Him.
"No, It's Just That You Have Long Eyelashes."
"Is That A Complaint?" I Asked Him
"Yes." He Said While Smiling At Me. Liam Called Louis Back To The Room And When I Was Done With The Dishes, I Also Went Back There.
"Look Who's Back." Said Niall. I Walked Over To Where Louis Was Standing.
"So Jennifer, What Do You Do For Fun?" Asked Harry.
"Well I Sometimes Listen To Music."
"Our Songs?" Asked Niall. I Laughed A Little.
"Yes. I Love All Your Songs." I Said.
"What's Your Favorite?" Asked Zayn.
"Um.... My Favorite Would Have To Be 'Night Changes'." I Answered.
They All Looked At Each Other And Then Started Singing The Song. It Was Like They Were Giving Me A Private Concert. I Felt My Face Getting Red Again. They All Stood Up In A Row Like They Do In Their Concerts. All Of A Sudden My Phone Started Vibrating In My Back Pocket. I Ran Out Of The Room To Get Away From The Noise And Answer The Phone But I Guess The Boys Didn't Notice Someone Was Calling. I Went To My Room Where The Noise Wasn't As Bad. I Saw That It Was My Best Friend.
"Hey Girl!" I Said As I Answered It.
"Hey, What's All That Noise?" She Asked.
"Oh, I'm Just Umm..."
"Are You Still Watching One Direction Videos?" She Asked
"Yeah, Yeah. I Just Can't Get Enough Of Them." I Said With A Sigh Of Relief.
"Well I Was Just Calling To See If We Could Go To The Mall Tomorrow?" She Asked.
"Oh I... I Can't. I Have Family Over."
"I Understand. Maybe Some Other Time."
"Yeah, Maybe Next Week Or Something.
"Sounds Good." She Said
"How Has Your Summer Been?" I Asked Her.
"Fine. My Family And I Just Came Back For The Beach." She Said.
"That's Nice."
"Yeah, And What About Your Summer." She Asked
"Um... It's Alright." I Said Which Was Not True. My Summer Was Becoming The Best Summer Of My Life.
"Well I'll Talk To You Later Then." I Said Holding Back The Desire To Tell Her About The Boys."
"Ok, Bye."
"Bye." I Said As I Walked Back To The Guest Room.
"Where Did You Go?" Asked Louis.
" I Had A Call But Don't Worry I Didn't Say Anything." I Said.
"We Should Play Something." Said Niall
"Play Something?" Asked Liam.
"Yeah, What Do You Have?" Niall Asked Me.
"I Have 'Just Dance'." I Told Them
"We Haven't Played That In Years." Said Zayn.
"It Will Be Fun." Said Niall.
I Walked The Boys Back To The Living Room And We Started Playing 'Just Dance'. My Dad Came Home From Work And He Was Shocked That I Wasn't Joking About One Direction Staying. He Said Hello To The Boys, Told Me That He Didn't Want Them Anywhere Near My Room, And Then Went To Bed. My Mom Was In Her Office Working On Some Paperwork And After Playing 'Just Dance' For About 10 Minutes With The Boys, The Doorbell Rang.
"I'm Going To Go Answer That." I Told The Boys As I Walked Away.
I Opened The Door And Was Shocked At What I Saw. It Was My Ex Boyfriend Kevin Standing There Looking At Me. We Were Together For Eight Months Until I Found Out He Was Cheating On Me. I Broke Up With Him Like Two Month Before The Boys Came And That Was The Last Time I Talked To Or Seen Him.
"Jennifer We Need To Talk." He Said.
"We Have Nothing To Talk About." I Said As I Was Closing The Door.
He Push The Door Back Open And Grabbed My Hand.
"I Know You Still Love Me." He Said Angrily
"Let Go Of Me." I Said As I Tried To Get My Hand Back.
"You Still Need Me, I Know You Do!"
"I Said Let Go Of Me!" I Yelled.
"If I Can't Have You, No One Can."! He Yelled.
"Let Me Go!" I Said. I Slapped Him But That Only Made Things Worst.
Kevin Started Pulling Me Towards Him But Louis Come Out From Behind Me And Kevin Finally Let Go Of My Hand.
"Why Don't You Leave Her Alone." Louis Said As He Got Between Kevin And I.
"Who The Hell Are You?" Said Kevin.
"That Doesn't Matter. You Are Going To Leave Either With Or Without My Help." Louis Said
Soon All The Boys Come Over To The Door To See What Was All The Commotion. Kevin Looked At All Of Them But Didn't Recognize Them.
"Two Months Without Me And You Already Have A Group Of Guys At Your House. You're Such A Whore." Kevin Said With A Smirk.
"You Know What." Louis Said As He Walked Toward Kevin.
I Pulled Him Back And My Mom Came With The Phone Asking If I Wanted Her To Call The Police. The Boys Gathered Around Louis Trying To Calm Him Down. I Told My Mom She Didn't Need To And I Told Kevin To Get Lost.
"This Isn't Over." Kevin Said As He Disappeared Into The Darkness.
I Closed The Door And We All Seemed To Relax A Little.
"Who Was That?" Zayn Asked.
"My Ex Kevin." I Said
"I Just Wish I Had A Baseball Bat." Louis Said.
"Are You Sure You Don't Want To Call The Police?" Asked Harry.
"No He Is All Bark And No Bite." I Answered.
I Knew That If We Call The Cops On Him It Would Only Make Things Worst. We Walked Back To The Living Room And My Mom Put Old Home Videos On To Try And Lighten The Mood. Louis Came And Sat Next To Me.
"He Shouldn't Have Talked To You Like That." Louis Told Me.
"Yeah, I Can't Believe I Was Ever With Him."
"I'm Glad You Know That You Deserve Better." Louis Said.
After A While Of Watching Home Videos I Went To Throw The Trash Out. I Walked Out Of The Door Looking Left And Right. I Was Scared That At Any Moment Kevin Would Come Out Again And Try To Hurt Me. I Threw The Trash Bag Into The Garbage Can And When I Turn To Go Back Inside Louis Was Starting There.
"Oh My Gosh, You Scared Me." I Said As I Put My Hand Over My Heart.
"Sorry, I Just Wanted To Much Sure You Were Alright." He Said.
"Um.. Thanks But I'm Fine." I Said As I Walked To The Door Where He Was. He Was In The Doorway And Wasn't Moving.
"Would You Like To Sit With Me And Look At The Stars?" He Asked
I Stared At Him Thinking If He Really Just Asked Me That. He Kept Staring At Me Waiting For An Answer. I Was Scared Of Kevin Coming Back But I Felt Save With Louis.
"Yeah, I Would Love To." I Told Him.
He Smiled And Walked Toward The Sidewalk. He Waited For Me To Sit Down First And Then He Sat Next To Me.
"It's Been So Long Since I Could Just Sit And Look Up At The Stars." He Said While Looking Up.
"You've Been Pretty Busy, Huh?" I Said.
"Yeah, We Were Going To Orlando To Relax For A While But I Bet We Wouldn't Have. Everybody Running After Us, Paparazzi Taking Pictures. We Are Never Left Alone So We Can Just Be Normal For A While. But Here We Are Doing Just That. You Are Really Lucky. You're Abled To Do Simple Things. Don't Get Me Wrong, I'm Living Out My Dreams And A Lot Of Doors Have Been Open For Me and The Boys Because Of This But We Are Also Missing Out On The Little Things." He Stops And Looks Down. He Stayed Quite For A Couple Of Seconds Then Spoke.
"That's Why Eleanor And I Broke Up. She Didn't Like All The Attention She Was Getting Because Of Me. She Soon Hated To Be Around Me. We Were Around Each Other Less And Less. We Lost The Connection We Had. She Wanted Something I Couldn't Give To Her. She Wanted A Simple Life, But My Life Isn't Simple." He Looked Up Again And Brushed His Fingers Through His Hair. I Stared At Him Because I Knew It Was Hard For Him To Talk About It. I Placed My Hand Over His And He Smiled At Me.
"I'm Sorry." I Told Him Letting Him Know I Care About Him.
"Well What About You And That Kevin Guy?" He Asked.
"Where Do I Start." I Said As I Laughed A Little And Took My Hand Off His.
"We Started Off Good But It Didn't Stay That Way For Long. He Began To Treat Me Bad. He Would Hurt My Feeling As If I Was His Personal Punching Bag. He Wouldn't Kiss Me, Or Hold My Hand, And He Would Ignore Me In Front Of People But Then He Would Call Me And Act Like Nothing Was Wrong. Then I Found Out That He Was Cheating On Me So I Broke Up With Him." I Confessed To Him.
"You Know Jennifer, You Are Brave." He Told Me As He Looked Into My Eyes.
"Me, Brave?" I Asked.
"Yes, You Were Brave Enough To End That Relationship." He Said.
"Yeah.... I Was."
We Stared At Each Other As Our Faces Seem To Grow Closer And Closer. We Were Just About To Kiss When Harry Walks Outside.
"We've Been Looking For Y'all Everywhere." He Said. Louis And I Stood Up.
"Did I Interrupt Something?" He Asked.
Louis Grabbed My Hand And We Walked Inside.
Zayn, Niall, And Liam Were Sitting In The Couch Looking At Us.
"I Found Them Outside Sitting Very Close Together." Harry Said To The Boys.
"What We're You Guys Doing?" Asked Niall.
"What We're You Guys Talking About?" Asked Liam
"I Have To Go To The Bathroom." I Said To Get Away From All The Questions.
I Walked Into The Bathroom, Shut The Door And Looked At Myself In The Mirrow. I Fixed My Eyeliner And My Hair. I Stood There Trying To Believe That Louis Just Opened Up To Me And Not Only That But We Almost Kissed! I Could Hear The Boys Asking Louis About Us.
"Do You Like Her?" Zayn Asked Louis.
"Yeah. I've Just Met Her But I Already Care About Her So Much." Louis Said.
"So You Could See A Future With Her?" Asked Liam.
"Yeah, I Do. But Why So Many Questions?" Louis Said.
My Mom Told My Dad About Their Luggages So They Took Our Car To Go Where They Left Theirs. After They Came Back We All Decided On Ordering Pizza. The Boys Insisted On Them Paying Because They Said We Have Done Enough For They Already. I Ordered The Pizza And Half An Hour Later The Pizza Arrived. When We Finished Eating Pizza My Mom Told Me To Shower In Her Bathroom So The Boys Can Shower In Mine. After The Boys Finish Taking Turns Showering And I Finished Showering, We Told Each Other Goodnight. All The Boys Hugged Me One By One But Louis's Hug Was The Longest. After That We All Headed To Our Rooms. My Parents Were The Last To Go To Sleep Because They Wanted To Make Sure None Of The Boys Would End Up In My Room. I Laid In My Bed Just Thinking About What Tomorrow Might Bring. Could Louis Be Interested In Having A Relationship With Me? I Just Replayed Our Conversation Over And Over Again Until I Fell Asleep. When I Woke Up The Next Morning I Heard My Mom Cooking. I Laid There Wondering If I Just Woke Up From A Dream Where One Direction Was At My House But Then I Heard The Boys Talking. My Dad Was At Work By Then. I Got Out Of Bed Washed My Mouth, Fixed My Hair, Got Dressed, Put On Makeup And Then Walked To The Kitchen.
"Good Morning Jennifer." Said Niall Who Was The First To See Me.
"Oh Good Morning Honey." Said My Mom.
"Good Morning." I Said.
"Here You Go." Zayn Said As He Gave Me Some Pancakes.
"Thank You." I Said And He Smiled. I Saw Louis Sitting Alone So I Sat Next To Him.
"Did You Sleep Good?" Asked Louis As He Look At Me.
"Yeah, I Did. And You?"
"Yes. It Was So Quite. There Is Always Some Noise Going On While We Sleep So It Was Nice To Hear Nothing." He Said As He Laughed A Little.
The Rest Of The Boys Were Waiting For Their Pancakes. I Was Thinking About How Easy It Would Be For Them To Get A New Car And Take Off But I Felt Like The Boys Were Enjoying Themselves. I Felt Like They Wanted To Stay. When Zayn, Niall, Liam, And Harry Got Their Pancakes They Sat Down Around Louis And I.
"Why Did You Guys Wake Up So Early?" I Asked.
"Because That Has Been A Routine For Us For So Long That Even When We Are On Break We Still Wake Up Early." Answered Liam.
"Thanks For The Pancakes." Said Zayn To My Mom.
"Sure Thing. If You Guys Need Anything I'll Be In My Office." My Mom Said As She Walked Away From The Kitchen.
"We Told Our Manager That We Had A Change Of Plans." Said Harry.
"Is He Ok With That?" I Asked.
"Yeah. It's Our Vacation Time So We Can Spend It Wherever We Want." Said Niall.
"Sorry You Guys Have To Spend It Here." I Said.
"What Do You Mean Sorry? We Like It Here. It's So Peaceful." Liam Said.
All The Boys Shook Their Head Yes.
"Maybe We Should Just Move In." Joked Harry.
Everyone Laughed.
"Hey I Was Thinking Maybe We Can Have Movie Day." Said Harry.
"Yeah I'm In." Said Liam.
"What Would We Watch?" Asked Zayn.
"We Have A Ton Of Movie. Maybe There Is One You Guys Haven't Seen." I Said.
"Yeah Sounds Good." Said Louis.
"And Maybe At Night We Can Have A Little Bonfire." I Said.
"Oh Yeah That Would Be Nice." Harry Said.
After We Got Done With Our Breakfast We Found Some Movies That Most Of The Boys Hadn't Seen. In Between Movies We Would Play Games Like 'Uno' And 'Charades'. Louis And I Were Laugh At Each Other And Just Having A Good Time. I Was Getting The Hang Of Being Around Them By Then. We Still Had Pizza Left Over So That's What We Ate For Lunch. While The Boys Were Playing 'Uno' In The Living Room Louis And I Were In The Dining Room. He Looked At Me And Grabbed My Hand.
"Can I Tell You Something?" Louis Asked Me.
"Yeah, Of Course You Can." I Said While My Heart Was Beating Faster.
"I Just Don't Know How To Say This." He Said
"Louis, You Can Tell Me Anything."
"Ok Um.. I.. I Like You." He Said
I Sat There Trying To Get My Mind To Process Had He Said.
"I Really Like You. I Know I Just Met You Yesterday But I Can't Hold Back These Feelings."

"You Are Beautiful, Funny, And Caring. I Just Couldn't Help But Fall For You." He Said
"Louis I..."
"I Understand If You Think I'm Moving Too Fast, I Just Hope That One Day You Will Feel The Same." He Said.
"Louis I Like You. I Have Liked You For A While And Now Getting To Know You, I Like You Even More."
"Really?" He Asked As He Face Lighten Up.
"Yes!" I Said As I Smile.
Louis Stood Up And Hugged Me. When We Stopped Hugging Our Hands Interlocked. I Looked Up At Him And He Smiled. Louis Decide To Tell My Parents That He Wanted To Be With Me. My Parents Were Shocked But Saw How Respectful He Was So They Were Fine With It. Just As Long As We Behaved Ourselves. The Boys Were Happy We Were Together Because They Saw How Happy We Made Each Other. When Night Came We Gathered Some Wood And Made A Little Fire. We Got The Radio Out So We Could Listen To Some Music. I Bet The Boys Were Happy To Get Some Fresh Air. We Pulled Up Chairs Around The Fire. Louis And I Sat Next To Each Other. The Boy Were All Laughing And Loving Life. Everything Seemed So Perfect.
"This Is Nice." Louis Said To Me As He Held My Hand.
"Yeah It Is." I Said.
He Leaned Over And Kissed Me. I Was On Cloud Nine. We Stayed Outside For Quite Some Time Just Talking And Laughing. The Mosquitos Caused Us All To Go Instead. It Was Getting Late So We All Took A Shower And Went To Bed. Louis Kissed Me Good Night. When I Woke Up The Next Morning I Walked Towards Their Room And The Door Was Open. I Saw That The Boys And Their Luggages Were Gone. I Ran To My Mom's Office.
"Mom Where Are They?" I Asked.
"They Who?"
"Mom You Know. Zayn, Louis, Niall, Liam, And Harry." I Said Confused As To Why My Mom Was Acting This Way.
"What, You Mean One Direction?" She Asked.
"Yes! All Their Stuff Is Gone."
"And Why Would Their Stuff Be Here?"
Have I Been In A Dream This Whole Time? Have I Just Woken Up To Reality.
"I'm Just Kidding Honey. The Boys Just Left Like An Hour Ago."
"What! You Couldn't Have Woken Me Up?"
"Louis And The Boys Didn't Want To Say Bye. They Said It Would Be Too Sad. But Louis Left You A Letter. It's On Your Desk." She Told Me.
I Ran To My Room And There Lying On My Desk Was A Folded Paper. It Read,

Dear Jennifer,
