The beginning-Chapter 1

*Clarie Pov*

I just found out that I was moving to Virgina I told my best friend, her name was Sofia she was my best friend since 1st grade I texted her late that night...

Claire- So can I tell you something?

Sofia❤️- Yeah go for it

Clarie- Well, don't get emotional on me okay?

Sofia❤️- Alright?? You okay?

Clarie- No I'm not okay really, my mom just informed me today that we are going to be moving...

Sofia❤️- What?!?!? When? Why? 

Clarie- My mom said that we have to move because my Aunt Kay (Couldn't think of a name) got sick and we need to care for her for awhile, I don't know what happen, but I over heard mom talking to Jess ,(older sis) she said that we're going to be leaving tomorrow later in the day. 

Sofia❤️- Oh, why do you have to leave now? Why can't you wait till the end of the year?

Clarie- My Aunt. I wish we could stay longer too...

Sofia❤️- Do you need help packing up your room?

Clarie- Yeah, do you want to help me?

Sofia❤️- Sure I'll be over in 1

*END OF TEXTS*

That night Sofia came over. I heard knock at the door, I ran down the stairs and opened the door. "Hey," I said.

 "Hey," she said sadly. I waved for her to come up to my room she followed. We started to talk about old times. "Remember last summer?"

 "Yeah," I said. "What about it ?"

 "We would play in your backyard with Buddy ( Clarie's dog) and he would chance us into the woods," she said with a little smirk on her face. 

"Yeah we were we 8th graders last year," laughing," I'ma going to miss you so much Sof," 

"I'ma miss you too." We looked at each other,it was the last night that I was going to be seeing her my flight leaves tomorrow at 2:00pm  from Oregon to Virgina, ugh that's going to take so long. I can feel a warm tear run down my face, I look up I see a tear on Sofia's face too. I lean in and I give her a hug. I whisper in her ear 

" Why do I have to leave you now?" Sofia is like a sister to me and I didn't want to leave her like this. "Don't worry we can FaceTime every night," 

"Promise." 

"Promise."  

* Sofia Pov*

Clarie told me that she was moving to Virginia last night. To be honest, I started to cry we she texted me. She told me not to be emotional, but I couldn't bear to lose another friend like this, she was a sister even more than that, but she was leaving tomorrow what was I going to do? She was the only friend I had at school. That night I left Clarie's house crying and give her entire family hugs. I gave her one last hug and I headed out back to my house, it was only across the street. I'm going to miss her more than I miss my Dad. That night I fell asleep crying.
