*Boy's POV*

We finally reached our friend's house right before dinner. I knew my friend was upstairs playing his guitar but I couldn't find my other friend. Her rottweiler and beagle are sleeping near the fireplace and only lord knows where her mysteries cat could be. I came downstairs to turn off her radio and noticed the porch light was on. When I went to turn it off I noticed her sitting on the edge of a large planter. It was pretty cold, her knees were pulled up to her chest and she was gazing up at the stars. It was warm enough for me to be outside but to cold for her. I thought about it for a moment and joined her. I sat behind her, I didn't know if she noticed me or not. After a while of silence I looked over to her and saw a single tear roll down her cheek. Without hesitation I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her into my lap. She closed her eyes and nuzzled into my chest, she shivered a few times but I still silently held her, wishing that this moment could last forever. She sighed and it was starting to get colder so I picked her up and carried her into the house and laid her on the couch. After covering her with a blanket I was about to go upstairs but she reached out and grabbed my hand and lightly pulled me towards her. I sighed and laid down beside her, she cuddled up to my chest and soon fell asleep.
