"This night went by way too quickly." I sigh, leaning against a dead tree. I slide down the trunk until I reach the ground. "I really don't want to go home."
"You technically don't have to." Eric sits down next to me.
"It's technically Friday morning. We still have school today dumbo." I smile, laughing a bit. My smile fades once I realize what I have to go back to. Tears slowly form in my eyes, "I really don't want to go back."
"Naomi, Naomi. It's okay. Shhh." Eric wraps an arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer. I bury my face into his shoulder as a few tears stream down my face.
"I don't wanna go home." I whisper. "I'm scared."
"I'll go grab your things with you. My mom is a social worker, she'll let you stay with us for a couple nights. Don't worry."
"No, no, no." I look up at him, worried. "I can't leave this place."
"You aren't gonna leave. My mom will just help out your mom and her boyfriend." He coos.
"Promise?" I ask.
"I promise." Eric kisses the top of my head.
KissKissKiss.
"Okay, okay. I'm okay." I stand up, wiping the dust off of my pants.
"Shall we dance?" Eric smiles at me, standing up.
"Let me put on music."
