Drowning

I drowned in the dark,

So blinded by the growing gloom.

So lost in my mind,

In caved by my breaking heart.

Falling pieces hitting the ground.

Hands trying to reach me,

Not able to reach that far down.

But you fell down to pick me up,

To help me to fight this battle,

To wipe away my tears,

And hold me upright,

To break the walls,

To mend my heart.

Now I see you were always there,

Reaching down from the above,

Waiting for me to grab hold,

But I never did so you came down,

You stood in the dark,

Shining to give me a light,

To show me the path,

To help me make it all right.
